Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hello everyone,
I think I found the Porsche I want. Since I am insane at this point because I have been looking for a 911 Carrera for a long time, I dont want to jump on this deal without asking you guys. So here it goes.
2002 Porsche 911 Carrera
Blk on Blk
35,000 miles
Full Carbon fiber package...( door sills, dash, shifter, etc...)
PSM
Very well maintained ( Interior and exterior looks very new)
No dings or dents.
The seller wants $45,000.
Good deal? Good price?
If it's the car you love, why hesitate. Don't be concerned what others have to say about the price, but be concerned that some one may buy the car while you delay.
Here is some additional info on the Porsche:
Its a coupe.
6 speed trans
I don't think it is full leather interior.
xenon lights
Stock 18" rims with brand new Michelin sport ps2
I am getting ready to buy it...already gave down payment. I took it to a local Porsche shop and had it inspected before I buy it. The mechanic said it is in very good shape and he could not find anything wrong with it. He did tell me one thing that kind of made me worry though. He said that the car has a new engine with 3,000 miles on it. Most people might see this as a plus but I see it as a "why?" 35k miles and it and it needed a new engine? There is no warranty and the mechanic said that this happenes a lot. Most people take their Porsche's to the dealer and want everything fixed before service is up. He also said if it had a bad oil leak or anything like that, they would not fix it but just replace it. Either way...it looks like a go.
As Eric said, make sure it was purchased and installed by a dealer. If not, I would not buy this car. Heard several stories of people cheaping out on engine replacements and then something goes wrong. Then what? NO WARRANTY!
Yea..as long as it was done and documented by Porsche, it's good to go. I found a 2002 with 35K miles in NC a month ago that had the engine replaced. I posted on this forum and everyone agreed it had no impact on price and in fact, could be a positive. The engine may have been replaced from a repeating RMS or something like that.
I agree 100%. IMO it's a good price.
If this is the car you really want don't worry about knocking off an extra thousand or two. I'd rather pay a little more for the car I really want then save a few $$$ for something I didn't want.
Good Luck!!!!
Glenn
