On my '99, they lubricated it and then when it came back they replaced the spring under warranty.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mine did squeek........dealer fixed it under warranty.
Just came back from dealer and they told me the squeek that my clutch makes when I depress it is normal and there is nothing they can do about it. Is this true?
About 4 months ago, I had my '04 C2 in the shop for some minor maintenance work When the tech brought the car around to the front of the building, he mentioned that he noticed the clutch pedal was squeaking so he greased the pedal mechanism. Previous to his I HAD noticed the squeak occasionally but not enough for me to remember to mention it to them initially. No more squeak. FYI.
You may want to try some silicone spray on the pivots and return spring if the noise is coming from that area. My friend has a '99 coupe and the dealer wants $250 to fix it (involving talking out the whole pedels assmebly) and he fixed that with silicone spray.

Instead of silicone, I would recommend lithium grease, also available in a spray can, . I used it on all of the moving parts (rollers & hinges) of my garage door, and it is now the quietest garage door I have ever had. Prior to using the lithium grease, I had tried light weight oil and later some silicone spray on the garage door, but neither of these worked as well as the lithium.
If your car is still under warranty, just take it in. They just need to lubricate it. You could do it yourself. You spray the pedal under the dash and the link on the transmission. You can get to it with the car on Rhino ramps. My car ws doing it after I had my IMS fixed under warranty. One of my cats recently went bad and although I didn't mention it, they lubricated it when they put the new cat on.
No it is not normal, PAG even went to the trouble of publishing a TSB for the squeak coming from the
Clutch Pedal
and another for the squeak coming from the
Clutch Guide Tube
. Literally stick your face down in the pedal area and make sure that the noise is originating from down there. It is real easy to confuse the two. If lubricating the clutch pedal bushings (red arrows in image below) as recommended above doesn't work then try the suggestions in the TSB(s).

Without dropping the transmission?
I've seen the clutch booster spring referred to, a few times, as the "return" spring. This is wrong. This spring does NOT help return the pedal to the top, but assists in pushing the pedal to the floor. Without it, the pedal is harder to depress but returns to the top as usual.
Lithium spray on the bushings and rod that the pedals pivot on should eliminate the noise.
Mine is squeeking too, it started hapening recently. This only happens when the car is Really Warmed up. I think its something in the Linkage. When i get time ill have my car look at by my Local Dealer..,
Porsche refers to it as both the return spring and the boost spring. The term "return spring" seems to have been carried over from the earlier models that had a cable-actuated clutch when it was actually a
return
spring?
My clutch squeaks like crazy, but I was told they need to get at the master cylinder or something... basically getting right at the clutch. My squeak is NOT coming from the pedal though, it's coming from the back. I'll just deal with it when (if) my clutch gets replaced. I'm still on the original and it still works great.

Same issue with my GT3 and it was lubricated.
How did they screw this up? The technology is at least 80 years old!
