I have a small sidewall bubble on my right rear Pilot. Tires are on back order at the dealer and Tire Rack. I need to drive the 911 about 300 miles to get it to my other home for winter storage. Advisable if I keep the speed below 75? Dealer said it "should" be ok, especially this time of year (cooler).

you should have the tire dismounted and look at the damage on the inside. sometimes it is riped.. not good. Should check a porsche repair shop or dealer. They usally have used tires laying around. If the tire blows you can do rim and body damage.

i agree - that is a bad sign and potentially very dangerous. I wouold have a Tire shop look at it before driving farther than the tire shop. me - I would replace the tires without questioning it

what you do mean Tire Bubble? You have a side wall indent or outdent? Low profile side walls are supposed to be extra stiff and reenforced w kevlar so if you have a blow out, your rims are not going to drop to the asphalt & leave a dent. It's not quite like run flat tires though. If it's just a small indent or outdent, you'll be okay for a few hundred miles. Either way, you should replace it under warranty.

...made it 350 miles today with no issues. I have two replacement tires on back order...these Michelin Pilots are on back order everywhere. Looking at an early spring delivery...if I'm lucky. If the fronts showed a bit more wear, I'd pull all four of them and switch brands. Michelin has put all of us in a very bad position due to the lack of inventory of these tires. But the car is home now, and safely tucked away for the winter. Thanks to all for your advice.

SO3 would be a much better and longer lasting tire. Glad to know you made it ok
