Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wanted some more wild colors but my better half enforced the fashion police code on me. It took 2 guys about 2 hrs and I think it turned out great. Mike

POST 2Original post

Beautiful car (and garage) but for the love of God, please lower your car now!! Your beautiful 40th looks like you could compete in a mud bog with it now. Try PSS9s so that you can lower it just enough to improve handling (and looks) without dragging on driveways.

POST 4Original post

in the same process grizzly . having my walls refinished first... floor next. (takin' a bit longer than i had 1st thought). is the floor 'race deck'??? lookin' nice.

POST 5Original post

SWEET FLOORING! I did mine in ordinary floor tile...boy was that a mistake. All the tiles moved and crushed or overlapped others where the rear wheels commonly park on the floor.

POST 7Original post

Sweet looking flooring! What kind of flooring is that? Doing some research before I help pops build our new garage over the summer.

POST 8Original post

doublenuts do a search re: floor tiles (did some research)... the adhesive backed ones are for $hit... use armstrong w/ heat res. mastic glue... & they'll hold. (but you'll need a good piece of plywood if you want to ever use jackstands etc... or on the otherhand 'race deck' is nice... btw: costco carries a sim product 'motofloor' @ a little over $3 a tile.

POST 10Original post

I went with race-deck (about $2.85/ft) and picked some brighter colors.....

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Racedeck--my garage was 19 x 19 so in all it was $1500--not the cheapest but it will hold up and is guaranteed fro 10yrs. I could have done the install myself but for $300 it was well worth it. Something like $3.5 a tile--the math doesn't work cause you have to negotiate (wheel and deal). My walls are messing but eventually I will do an addition so i need to fit 3 cars in there. BTW it does look like im off-roading!!!! maybe this spring i'll slam it--man the mod addiction starts again!!!! Thanks Mike

POST 12Original post

Hey Kirb, dude I totally dig your DIY site! Thanks for the detail and closeups in the photos. There are a couple of things I've wanted to do that you have there (like the flashing side markers) but never had a detail with photos of how to do it correctly. I bookmarked your site dude. p@

POST 13Original post

damn johndg that's a great price... race deck runs around $4 a tile here... mind 'pm-ing' me where you purchased? or post? thx 24fps

POST 14Original post

Looks good. Can the lighter color tiles stain from the tires over time? My regular tiles can so I put a piece of plastic under the tires to prevent it from happening. Other than that they have held up over 5 years.

POST 16Original post

grizzy, it looks great. Are the tiles some sort of plastic or are they metal?

POST 17Original post

Looks good. I did mine in the Armstrong VCT's and it is all holding up great. Now fix those walls Tim

POST 18Original post

24 FPS---here is a link to the dealer with great price (and very nice service): http://www.zr1.net/ZR1store/racedeck.html (I have no affiliation, of course)

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah heavy duty plastic--they cut them with skill saw or a lil back cut handsaw. They look metallic cause of the sheen and diamond plating pattern Mike
