My 2000 C2 is a Mirage Metallic (that's tan/gold for you non-alliterative types), has 43,000 miles, and is having its oil changed even as I write this.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I may be selling my 993 which is very sad for me but looking to buy a 996. Wonder if there are folks who have 996s looking to sell. what i am looking for
1. 996 2000 - 2002 ( i know there are big differences in 2002)
2. coupe
3. six speed
4. silvers, greys, blues - exterior color
5. mileage dependant on year
my assumptions are 2000s go for $45k and add $5k per year and 2002 c4s going for $65k.
Anyone out there potentiallly lookin to move up or out of their 996 c2/c4s.
i bought my 993 from a rennlister (good experience) and will probably sell mine to a rennlister so i start my search here.
for those who care i am selling my 993 only because i made a deal with my wife that i would get a car with side airbags which the 993s do not have. it is goin to be a sad day when my 993 leaves my garage.
thx in advance.
I would agree with the other posters so far.
You and I are looking for just about the same car. I am after an 02 C4 Cab. or an 02/03 C4S but prices seem to be holding up there right now - my local dealer has an 03 C4S in great cond in blue for $74k - I am trying to convince him to drop to around $69k, in which case I would probably buy it.
If you can afford to wait a little while I am betting (hoping) that prices will start to come down as the new model comes into showrooms.
Best of luck with your search!
Barry
If you are interested in a C2 convertible, someone on this board, Ben in LJ, is selling a Black/Black supercharged, turbo brakes, PSS9, GT3 sway bars, PSM, Nav... blah, blah for $65k.
Since he's sorta in your neck of the woods, might be worth a look. From what I hear its one amazing car...will blow away a turbo....
I've just started thinking about possibly selling my 03 C2. Its silver- grey, sport seats, PSE, Bose, litronics, carrera 18's with PS, 6 speed, PSS9 and GT3 sways, and a couple other options that escape me at the moment, 3500 miles, garaged, second car, excellent. PM if you want to chat. She is a gem.
I have a Black/Black one with 12k mi that you can find on autotrader, just enter 84020 for the zip to shorten the search. Asking $68,500. FYI. The local dealership has offered $63,500 or $65K if I trade it in.
I sent you a PM, but I'll post it here too. I am selling my 02 C2 with 4100 miles. it's Arctic Silver with black sport seats, 6spd, M030 suspension, 18" Carreras. Always garaged and covered. Never seen rain and never smoked in. I am asking $60k

Pretty much stock. (didn't see the need for heated seats in Santa Monica...)
I'm asking $44K firm. Let me know if you're interested.
I have just made the decision to sell my 2003 C4S... And no, I'm not happy about it, it is purely for financial reasons. It is seal gray, black full leather, and xenon headlights. Current mileage is 17K. I live in Reno, though the car is with me on a short term assignment in the Seattle area. I'm looking for $68K.
Let me know if you have any interest.
I'm selling my car because I really don't have the time to drive it. As you can see it's almost 2 yrs old and has 4100 miles on it. Another factor (but not the deciding one) is that we just had another child. But mostly I hate to see it just sitting there. It needs to be with someone who can drive it more than I can.
Mackenzie,
You should be able to get a very good price for your 993. I remember doing a thorough inspection of your vehicle after you first bought it, and it was in excellent shape. I checked every detail and could not find any flaws. Great color too... you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.
Hmmm...maybe I shouldn't have let you drive my 996 in the first place
