(don't want to replace the entire bumper, assuming the part from Porsche would be very costly)?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had someone back into the front of my car - have a narrow but deep dent in on my front bumper. Can this be repaired even though it's basically a plastic piece? (don't want to replace the entire bumper, assuming the part from Porsche would be very costly)? Anyone dealt with this? Planning on taking to a very reputable body shop Monday that does work on a lot of high ends... Thanks Michael 2001 C4

POST 2Original post

Very common plastic bumpers for the last 25 years. Most likely if it is a minor dent as you say; can be filled with plastic repair material and finished over as normal. If you want a really good job, I would first check with body shop your dealer recommends. But any body shop commonly works with these materials.

Excellent opportunity to put on a TT bumper. http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/pana0146_copy4.jpg
