Suggestion

If I remember correctly, the design of the blades was changed about a year or two ago to minimize the skipping/chatter across the windsheild.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Before I go buy them... is there one brand that is better??

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So this was a dumb question and no one is going to answer me?

POST 4Original post

I am not sure if they will fit a Porsche correctly. The Porsche blade has a windfoil design that seems unique. However, Costco sells a highline blade in a two pack at a good price. Everything I buy at Costco seems to be high quality. I've used their blade kit for my Duramax, Avalon and Lexus and it fits. The Porsche arm appears that it fits the Costco blades.

POST 5Original post

just get the "insert" at the dealer. this is just the rubber piece, no the whole blade

POST 6Original post

I would suggest getting two completely new blades, not just the inserts. And I'd get the factory Porsche ones. If I remember correctly, the design of the blades was changed about a year or two ago to minimize the skipping/chatter across the windsheild. The replacements I've gotten are different and work better than the ones I got with my car (2002 model year). b-man

POST 7Original post

b-man, Thanks for the info. I don't drive my car in the wet too much (too lazy to increase the number of washing cycles if rain is forecasted), but my wipers have always been very jerky and chattery(?) on my '02. I'll have to see if an upgraded blade improves things. Andy

POST 8Original post

You should hang onto your factory blades for refilling if necessary. I'm happy with them.

POST 9Original post

The inserts for the Honda wipers will fit the Porsche factory wiper blades. Cost about $6 each.

POST 10Original post

I bought and installed the Bosch silicon blades. Terrific improvement in wiping ability, easy to install.

POST 11Original post

Gruene, are these Porsche blade replacements from the dealer, or can I find them at the auto parts store? Thanks
