Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

TEAM MATES: This is very cool, but we need to act together very quickly as a team in order to pull it off. We have a last minute opportunity to have the Team Logo on one of the top cars at this year's running of the 24 Hour Race. Yes, you read that right. "Hey, Wait For Me" Racing helps sponsor a car at Le Mans! Just imagine, the turtle traveling at 180 mph down the Mulsanne Straight. Our car braking hard for Arnage, and flashing through the Porsche Curves. Think how watching for the Turtle on the Speed Broadcast will make the 24 hour broadcast flash by. KEVIN BUCKLER and THE RACER'S GROUP have graciously offered to provide us space for our logo on his GT3 RSR. How cool is that? We have made a committment,. We need help in defraying the cost . The logo could very well end up on the rear wing big. It depends on what we can do here. WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE? I am asking that each teammate contribute to this effort. A mere $60 lets you brag that your team ran the big one with one of the top Porsches. If you can go higher, great. If that sum is too much, and represents your entire track budget for 2004, contribute what you can. Any contribution, large or small will be appreciated. Please post a response on this thread of what you will be contributing. If it is substantially more, or somewhat less, of the suggested amount and you want it to remain confidential, e-mail me at [email removed] . SPECIAL OFFER FROM KEVIN BUCKLER AND TRG He got a huge kick out of the team and its principles and wants to have us on the car. He has a number of limited edition race posters that he will give to the team for every one who contributes to the cause. SPECIAL OFFER TO TEAM MATES. We'll be raffling off some team gear hats and shirts, and anyone who contributes to the Le Mans effort will be entered in that drawing. SPECIAL OFFER FOR NON-TEAMMATES This is a one time only chance to achieve full membership in Hey, Wait For Me Racing without posting our usually mandatory self-depricating application. (If youre not familiar with the team, do a search and get ready for hours of amusing reading) The team will appreciate your generosity. Just contribute the suggested amount, or more, and you're in. Rest assured, we will figure out a way to humiliate you later. And we are working on other bonuses for anyone who contributes. HOW DO I KNOW THIS ISN'T A SCAM FROM THE BIG TURTLE TO PAY FOR HIS NEW SUSPENSION? Your check should be made out to the Racer's Group, and mark HWFM Racing on the memo line. I will work out the most convenient mailing address, and post that soon. POST YOUR PLEDGE ON THIS THREAD Or if you like, you can e-mail me the amount you are pledging. Send it to [email removed] Weve had a lot of fun with this team. This could be the most fun yet. Caveat: Of course, if a HWFMR team car should win its class at Le Mans, the world will end at 4:01 pm French time. But we'll worry about that later. SPECIAL THANKS To John D for the brainstorm, and making the introductions that led to all this. THANK YOU, KEVIN. THANK YOU, JOHN. AND THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP.

POST 2Original post

Pardon my lack of knowledge but any links where I can find out the background on HWFMR? I tried a search but I didn't find anything very helpful.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greg Thanks so much. Enjoy the broadcast. I'll post where to send your check. John D is adding some special sweetners to whoever contributes. Jim HWFMR started on the 993 board. members race and track 993s, 996s, 964s, GT3s, lots of water pumpers, spec racers, and even a radical and a stohr. Try a search on the 993 board This is from an old Post: RE: Thoughts, Rules, Slogans and Standards of Conduct Greetings all. I thought it would be a good idea to gather the team lore in one place for members' easy reference. TEAM SLOGANS (to be used at the member's discretion): "We're not the fastest, but we're the funnest." "Our team parties end when the drivers meeting starts." "Working our way up to 'Slow'." "We'd be just as fast as the leaders, if those corners didn't get in the way." "You think this is slow? You should have seen us before all the mods." "There is no "i" in fast." "Guys who wear 'No Fear" t-shirts are full of it." "What's the hurry." "We may not be fast, but we get three seasons out of a set of Pagid Orange Pads." "We got more in the back than J. Lo" (from Eric) "Slow in, slow out, and slow down the straight." TEAM PHILOSOPHY: Anything goes. Just not very quickly. TEAM FOUNDER'S SLOGAN: "I'm not bald. I'm aerodynamic." TEAM GOAL: To be First among the Last. TEAM QUESTIONS: "Do you have to be on the podium to kiss the Race Queen?" "Are there enduros in bench racing?" TEAM COLORS: Blue and Yellow. (In honor of those pretty flags all the corner workers wave at us as they cheer our driving.) TEAM STRATEGIST: Wiley E. Coyote TEAM MODS AND EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER: Acme Racers Supply (See previous line -- Contact thru Kim) TEAM PASSWORD: "Hoosier" TEAM COUNTER PASSWORD: "Slicks" is too obvious, and inappropriate. Instead we will use "Daddy." TEAM RACING ADVICE: Drive it like your grandmother stole it. If you want to execute a pass, you should have joined a football team. The team secret for keeping the fast guys in sight during the entire race: Pray for lots of full-course cautions. A good team driver keeps one eye on the track ahead, one eye on the mirrors, and one eye on the tach. TEAM RULES: PCA Club Racing uses the notorious 13/13 rule. Not ones to be copycats, the team will adopt the "Fifth/Fifth" rule instead. A podium finish and you buy a fifth for the team's next party. Two podium finishes, or a first place finish, and you buy a fifth for every team member present. That should keep all our priorities straight. Don't do anything to get us sued. OT: Where members spend a lot of time --not "off topic" but "off track" MEMBERSHIP: open to anyone with a 993, P-car or other track appliance for racing, DEs, autocrosses or track days. (This should allow us to post on the 993 board without listening to the Off Topic Police whine.) KUDOS: To Danny, Princeton and Vinny for their efforts on the team logo design. The final will be unveiled later this week, as soon as I can get an art director to come thru with a freebie. SPECIAL THANKS: To Team Registrar and First Mate, Danny, for all his efforts, and selfless devotion to the team. At least he has something to keep him occupied while surrounded by the vastness of the ocean, and a cruise ship full of available women looking for a good time. Here is the logo

POST 5Original post

Hey Mike and all.. Yep - this is a snippet from a post I made in the 993 Forum last evening..... As well - anyone who pledges support for the HWFM effort at Le Mans will also receive a free 2-year Rennlist Membership. If you are already a Lifer you, at your option can bequeath it to another non-Rennlist Member, or extend your lifetime membership by two years (I really have NO IDEA how THAT WORKS, but.. ) And oh BTW The Racers Group Website, releases and official sponsor lists are being updated as I type this to include: Hey Wait For Me Racing as an official TRG Sponsor. Ill post links and updates as they appear!!! Stay tuned. And along with Mike and Kevin and all the folks.. Thank you. Honestly and seriously - we can't do it without you... So again - simply Thank you...
