I suspect he is still upset with the new china service we chose for the boat - I heard him grumble that the color will not compliment Chef's best white sauce.
Leading evidence: 'he is still upset' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'he is still upset' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone?
That whole "eye for an eye" thread got me thinking about the relationship some of us have with our cars.
I pretty much let anyone who asks me (friends and family) drive it. I have let friends borrow it for a hot date and when my girlfriends car was in the shop and i needed my SUV i let her borrow it for a few days.
For me it is the most amazing car I have ever driven...but still just a car.
It seems for some that it is....more....like a member of the family. Some on the thread said things like "if anyone hurts my p-car...i'd_________!!!!"
I guess I just don't feel that same connection.
Now, on the other hand, if anyone were to threaten my girlfriend, say, with harm I assure you my reaction would guarantee the end of the threat swiftly! She is, after all, irreplaceable
So what is it for some about this completely replaceable piece of steal, plastic and leather??
FLAME SUIT ON....NOW
I agree with you that it is replaceable. My wife and kids are not. Yes an eye for an eye is plain *** dumb. I believe what goes arround comes arround. So if you keyed someones car even though your was done first you can guarentee it will happen to you again. I love my car and it hurts when it gets damaged, but I say oh well and move on to fix it. I actually don't let my wife drive the car since she can't drive stick, but my brother borrows it and so do my best friends. I guess some guys are too retantive.
I am with you, Jason. I have owned about 35 cars, loved most of them, but they are all replaceable. And if you have enough dough to own an irreplaceable car - say a Bugatti Royale - you also have enough money to have a fender built from scratch, no problem.
Porsche makes dozens of 996s everyday.

I love the cars design and I'm passonate about that, but not any particular car ... like you all have said ... it's a car! it gets dirty, dents, etc! Some of the fun is in fixing all that stuff anyway.
BTW, UberXY, I love your Icon! I've got a 68 that shares the garage with the P-Cars.
Pete: thanks. I am sorry to report, though, that I am delivering 6S293 to its new owners this weekend; meeting them at Brian Redmonds race at Summit Point. Sorry to see it go, but no time to race anymore.
The good news is that the Shelby cash may turn into a '97 TT I have my eye on.
Jason,
I get your point, but this post is bound to incite some passionate responses. Im not so sure that some of the posts that you are referring to are about the cars at all. I think its about principle. There may be some wealthy people in this world that can just look at a malicious act of vandalism to their property and say Oh well, stuff happens. Ill just get the butler to take care of it.
That would be a nice world to live in for the wealthy, but what about everyone else that doesnt live in that world? What about the people who have to take off from work to get their car to the body shop and obtain a rental car and then do the reverse just to get their car back in a slightly diminished state some three weeks later? These are just logistics and doesnt take into account increased insurance premiums, frustration from the process, lost time from work and the fear of taking their car somewhere else where vandalism may occur again.
I really didnt mean to get on a soapbox, but tolerance of this kind of crap is unacceptable. No, I am not suggesting that we or anyone should key another car or anything like that. But we should avail ourselves of the resources the legal system provides. Ill bet if someone were taken to court to pay for a door ding or other damage they would think about it rather than throwing their car door open against another car at least for some period of time. I think that if you say its okay to beat up my car that you are giving someone permission to take it to the next level. So, maybe it is your girlfriend who is next. We learn on the schoolyard pretty early on that if you get hit, hit em back. If you dont every kid in the school will be taking a shot at you or your stuff. Speaking only about people who would maliciously act against anothers property; I guess some of us never really grow up.

My P Cars simply represents my hard work and passion of driving that I believe I share with most members on this forum. In today's society we have the A$$holes who have nothing more to and dislikes those of us who work hard to achieve our goals and dreams - Yes, It is a car to me, but what a hell of a CAR !
I gave Jeeves the morning off - after serving breakfast by the pool this morning, he complained of a headache. I suspect he is still upset with the new china service we chose for the boat - I heard him grumble that the color will not compliment Chef's best white sauce.
I am growing mightily concerned for my lunch, if truth be told. I can only hope that Jeeves gets over his funk soon, or the china will go overboard before happy hour.

Note to myself: If I see Tubby at the Club this week, I must try to remember to remind him that his Mercedes is still in Mums favorite pool.
Not a Porsche owner, but I can certainly relate.
I am unfortunate to live in an area where the duplex behind me is rental property (I built my house long before the duplexes went up). And I've just gone through the whole shabang w/ the current tenants. I've had to endure
metal-tipped
arrows shot from their backyard and into my yard (one marred my window and tore the screen), soccer ***** flying everywhere (they're usually attracted to my cars and their neighbor's garage door), and their trash in my garbage bin. Their children are very wild and violent as it's quite obvious that they're doing these things on purpose. And while all of this is occurring, the parents have the "kids will be kids attitude." Yes, kids will be kids, but you still have to exert some control. I don't recall myself doing stuff like this. My co-workers children don't behave this bad. My neices and nephews aren't like this.
During a "nice" talk w/ the "man of the household," I informed him that there was a big f-ing park across the street from the neighborhood that their kids can shoot their arrows and kick their soccer ball to their hearts delight. His response? "I'm sorry you don't like children and if anything happens to your cars, then you can take us to small claims court."Not acceptable as the burden would be on me to prove why my cars have scuff marks all over the paint. And, hey a-hole, just because you're not a good parent does not mean I don't like children.
Anyway, I've reported them to the HOA and police, but next time I see an arrow in my yard, I'm going to shoot my 9mm in my backyard. Next time I see their lil runts kick their soccer ***** at my cars, I'm going to kick a soccer ball at their cars.
Personally, it's about respect and consideration. Yes, cars are inanimate objects, but if people can't do the simple task of respecting and being considerate towards others' properties, then what makes you think they're capable of respect and consideration towards other people?
Michael.

sounds like you have endured more than any man should have to and done so with great patience!
I hope that the legal system comes through for you.
I speak here in ideals...I would like to think I live in ideals as well...but i have never been through what you have been through.
I completely understand wanting to discharge your 9 mil...I only hope it doesn't come to that...honestly more for your sake then theirs!
hang in there bro...we are with you in spirit!
Well, I try to be understanding and laid-back. But there's a big difference between accidentally misplacing a soccer ball or an arrow and purposely aiming for cars and garage doors. It's very unfortunate that the parents can't seem to make this distinction.
Not to hijack the thread, but to tell you what kind of parents they are, I'll give you another example. My neighbor, Nancy, told me some time ago that they flicked their cigarette butts over her fence and into her yard where her dogs have injested them. She left them a note and politely requested that they disposed of their cigarette butts properly. What do these people do? They continue to flick their butts over her fence, but this time, they do it in plain visibility. These are the type of people that when you tell them to stop, they don't.
And if I got $0.01 for every time I've seen their kids playing in the back alley unattended (I figure the wife is inside watching her soaps), then I'd be a millionaire. I mean, what are these people thinking? They don't know me. For all they know, I could be a sex offender or a short-tempered psycho. Yet, the kids romp in all of the neighbors yards unattended.
AFAIK, the HOA has sent them a nasty-gram. So far, so good. But only when I'm at home. God knows what goes on when I'm not at home. :-o
No doubt. I used to have an understanding view of the world and people, but lately, it's been "give'em an inch and they'll want the whole yard so why even bother." Makes being a nice guy difficult.
I only said that to emphasize that the metal-tipped arrows that have been flying over the fence are the size of a 9mm cartridge. Those kids could take my dog out or even a person out, no joke.
Thanks! My only saving grace is that they're moving. Maybe then, I'll get my 911 and not have to worry about it.
Michael.
