Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
But since I now have noises essentially coming from everywhere, I dind't think I could possibly end up worse, so might as well let the dealer remove and replace panels, etc.
Leading evidence: 'Replace panels, etc' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace panels, etc' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I absolutely love my '04 C4S and have already put a few hundred miles on the car in just 5 days. The body is very tight and stiff which is great for handling and comfort, however, I have a constant squeak somewhere in the side panel below the driver's side quarter window. I've tried pressing on it while I'm driving (not that easy to do) but I can seem to isolate or stop the squeaking.
Is this a common area for trim pieces rubbing together? Is there a shim or insulation piece that corrects this problem?
Well, guess I'll find out the answer to this and other noise questions in a day or two. I dropped off my own '04 C4S with the dealer, and it's already been there two full days now due to:
-squeak/rattle in left rear area somewhere
-squeak/rattle in right rear area somewhere
-creaking noise from sunroof when car going over sloped surfaces, even at slow speeds
-rattle noise from sunroof when in closed position, never when raised or open
-slight brake squeal even after full break-in and over 4k miles
Dealer gave me a loaner car, so I'm just happy they're spending the time to do this right. I'll post whatever they find out and fix. Just hoping to get my car back on day 3 tomorrow.
p.s. I thought about the pros and cons of taking my car in. Meaning, some would say I might get additional noise problems due to the dealer working on my car. But since I now have noises essentially coming from everywhere, I dind't think I could possibly end up worse, so might as well let the dealer remove and replace panels, etc.
Sounds like the airbag to me....I had a similar prob, told the dealer to tighten up the airbag, and sure enough, it stopped. But for the most part you don't need to diagnose it, take it to the dealer, tell em it squeaks and they should be able to take care of it for ya...
Had the dealer fix a squeeky left rear glass a few times. Then the right rear. Keeps coming back, though. Finally just gave up and consider it one of the "character traits" that go along with the stiiffer suspension. I'd rather just drive it than keep it garaged at the shop.
