Well, I just like the clean contoured look of the C4s chin.

Here's a comparo w/both.......in both cases I filled the holes........another benny of the C4S chin is that it provides a bit more clearance and is more durable if the worst happens.

Also, using an adjustable coil-over allows you to play w/it and set it just where you want, then corner balance before re-align.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Guys,
Thought some of you would like to see what painted lowers look like on a C4S. This is my first P-Car and I'm loving it
Unfortunately the car still looks like a 4x4 so suspension is next!
Did you get a shop to paint the lower panels, or did you pay the ransom that Porsche wants to paint them at the factory?
The look is very good, but watch out, road debris are going to make them look like they are sprayed with a fine coating of black tar after a few thousand miles because of the ablation caused by the dirt and gunk the wheels will kick up. I would recommend that you now get them covered with stoneguard to keep that smooth look.
Hey Samminnella:
I just lowered my C4S Cab, so if you want to take a look at it, PM me. Based on your photos, it looks like you're around the corner from my house!

How much does the factory want to paint the skirts?
I got the dealers bodyshop to do it the charged approx 700 USD and did a very good job. (PFAFF Porsche)
Good point about road debris and tar ect. I do plan on getting the stonegaurd put on in a couple of days. Just not sure how much of the
side skirts I should have the stone gaurd put on.
I saw a C4S at the LA auto show that had the black pieces painted body color, and I believe that Porsche wanted about $800 for the front lip and $1500 for the side sills. Outrageous!
The minimum parts that you want covered are the leading edge of the side sills, and about a quarter to half of the underneath if that is painted as well.
Here is where I put stoneguard on the rocker covers on my cab. you can barely see it in this photo, but the idea is to cover the areas that will be sprayed with dirt and stuff kicked up by the tires.
Just for a comparison here is mine without.
I like it but I really am worried about how long it would last.
I am not dropping it. No need to be a snow plough for others.
Hey Mississauga
What I hate the most about the stock ride height is how the front sits higher than it should. The stance is all wrong!
That said maybe the ROW M030 is a good choice if the car may see 5-10 days of real snow per year. I was thinking of going PSS9 just incase I don't like the ride height. Right now with 2500km on the car the front is sitting at 27" and rear 26.75". Seems very high to me.
As far as how long the paint will last. Let you know in a year
My lowered S4 went through 2 winters with very little paint damage.
I would like to know how it stands up. PM me or something when you hit 10k-15k. This is my daily driver and I drive it all winter long. Winter and spring is very hard on the paint and windshield. With all the sand on the roads.
that looks great, but I'm afraid it won't hold up. Really smooths out the look of the car. Better protect it with stongard or 3m type film.
I want to do it, but I rather scare little children with the porsche sport exhaust for that price.
I just got a 04 C4S. Seal/blk. I just put ROW C4S springs. It lowered about 20mmF & 10mmR and deffinately made a difference. Not dropped to the ground and a pain to drive, but just enough to differ from the rest. Besides it wont effect the warrantee, they only costed $450, and even feels better. Email me for pic. This site wont accept any of my pics. I have no idea how anyone gets them in here.

Nice looking C4s's guys.
Just my opin but lowering any 911 is also about profile...ie level or slightly raked is cool. Also, using an adjustable coil-over allows you to play w/it and set it just where you want, then corner balance before re-align.
This is about as low as you'd want, along w/offsets kicked out...fender prep required....actully I'm cranking this car up 10mm or so next week.
BTW......all ground effect ABS on this car was painted on this car on deliv over 3 yrs ago (except for C4 chin).....but here in WI they use more salt than sand & gravel....no matter, touch-up and repaint not a big deal.
stone guard or not the first high driveway will ruin this $700 paint job--porsche made the lower skirt out of soft sacrificial plastic for a reason--sorry, imo this is a silly mod because it can't possibly hold up.
I think that is such a great look! Gives the car a much more aggressive stance as well as highlighting the curves look.
Durability seems to be the concern...
jmac...would like to see your car here as well
Nacelle - Pfaff messed up on one of the interior pieces, so I'm waiting for the part to be installed before I post - should be this week...
(by the way, it's awesome!)

I need your help! you must lock your car up and never ever drive it! b/c if am ever in your neck of the woods and i see you driving that thing all hunkered down and such your car is gettin' straight broddied(stolen, taken, ganked, yanked, tooked, etc, etc).
Thant thing is beautiful!
Well, I just like the clean contoured look of the C4s chin.
The Turbo was slab-flat and had that protruding lower ridge.
Here's a comparo w/both.......in both cases I filled the holes........another benny of the C4S chin is that it provides a bit more clearance and is more durable if the worst happens.
Suspension......Gemballa/H&R coilovers, H&R adjustable front/rear anti sways, S-Car-Go adjustable DLs.
If they take an OE Turbo chin, then they'll take the C4S........they snap-in identically.
Both require the snap-in slots all along the lower edge of the bumper and then the one screw in ea fender well.
