Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I set mine up last night , following the instructions, and it worked perfectly...
Passenger side mirror is suppose to move down when put in reverse, any body have a problem with this. My doesn't work unless I:
1. have the lights on (doesn't work unless I do this)
2. put it in reverse and manually press down and then it starts buzzing (why does it buzz?)
3. Take it out of reverse it goes back up
4. Put it back in reverse and it works until the car is turned off.
I had the same problem w/ my '02.
I had to press the seat memory button
to re-activate the mirror function.
All other programming was performed
per owners manual.

Well if your manual is saying take it to the dealer then I wouldn't expect it to work. I got a 2002 and it doesn't work correctly but it does say to put it in reverse and program it. I can only get it to work by following the directions in my first post.
I guess taking it in to the dealer is the only thing left to do.
I gave up and used memory position 2 to program it in. position 2 is set up the same as position 1 except that the mirror points down for backing into my space in the garage. It is not fully automatic, but better than going to see the dealer......
