Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have been thinking about selling my 996, as I could really use a backseat. But it's hard to let go of! So I put it out there ... it's above average in its options, so I looked at the asking prices for similar milage and put it above average but less than max. The calls I got! "You know, the dealer proved a tip is faster." So you want me to discount it because it has a 6-speed?!! Or another, "I prefer silver but for $xxx I'd buy yours." You haven't even seen it and you want to low-ball me?!!! I'm beginning to understand why the C4S cab with a tip is reputed to be the #1 seller!
