These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guys, can anyone provide me with a link to a good writeup, or if there isn't much involved walk me through it step by step, also is it worthwhile removing the seatbelts, if it's easy enough i might as well.
thanks
Shalil.
wow whats that about!
i didn't realize that a simple constructive answer would be that difficult to obtain...
have a good day, sorry for being and inconvenience, from the sounds of it your day can only get better!
Sad to see that this sort of forum is created for enthusiasts by enthusiasts only to have ppl like you resorting to name calling merely because not everyone shares your opinion, go take a drive in your car, maybe that will get a smile back on your face!
I too am relatively new to this board and I find the attitude displayed here disgusting. If this is how we treat newcomers I do not want anything to do with it. I am surprised that no one else has told our friend here that no one person has the right to tell you to leave and that some of us would be happy to help.
I have removed the rear seat in my 996. I found it pretty straight forward and self evident. The plastic cover caps all just pull off directly away from the bolt they are covering except the one in the middle of the seats which pulls off towards the front. Other than that it is simply a matter of undoing the various bolts. Was there any specific concern you had?
Uhh, are we to join every forum that we use?? MOST who use and provide technical help to others are not members. And what good is a member who paid to join, but doesn't have a clue on how to help others....
There is a good write up on Lorens forum (
www.renntech.org
). Very easy to follow. It was only the middle bit that I could not pull out. There is a special tool at the Porsche dealer and he did it for me for free-had to as it only took him 2 seconds.
I think its bad to be nasty to anyone on the net-part of the pleasure of owning a porsche is that we can all share our enthusiasm. I have had a really good time over the past year learning about my car and reading about everyones experiences-we have not got anything like this forum for 996s in the UK.
Politeness is far easier than being horrid.
Dude, chill out. I would rather read posts from non-members as opposed to reading BS like that. Running people off that are not bordeline psychotic is not constructive.
Sharp:
Do a search, maybe on the 964 board. I know I have seen something on this before. Also check out
www.p-cars.com
I think it is. There is a DIY section in there that is pretty vast for the 993.
I originally sent Davidmichael an email but decided to post this as well.
1) There is a well known delay between membership and membership recognition on this board. To assume that the omission of "RENNLIST MEMBER" indicates you are not a member is a mistake. To have continual postings by Mr. Davidmichael is beyond a mistake (obviously I got one of his rants as well) its simply a failure to understand the nature of people who take an active interest in their (or other people's) cars.
2) These boards are for anyone who wants to use them. That's the way they're set up. If Mr. Davidmichael would like to rule the board then he should either make an offer to purchase it or go start his own.
I glad I am not the only one who found MR. DMs responSSSSSSes difficult to comprehend.
Oh, and Davidmichael, check your dictionary "yea" is actually spelt YEAH which would not have worried me at all except that you found it necessary to be critical of someone else's literary skills. Someone once said "don't write dirty words on walls if you can't spell" - I would suggest that the same applies to critiques of other peoples spelling. Life in Vegas must be pretty dull for you -- must be the lack of good twisty roads. Might be time to take it for a long drive however I would suggest some anger management therapy first. I would hate to see how you drive when you're in a bad mood.
Congratulations Davidmichael. Yours is the rudest behavior I have witnessed on Rennlist. No class, sir.
Welcome Sharp! Your post will be answered by the many helpful members of our community...it's a little slow some weekends.
Is it people's spelling, peoples spelling or peoples' spelling? ... I think this could thread could go on forever at this rait!
Glad to see that the consensis is that being a rood jeerk two peoples is not in the nature of this board.
I stand rightly corrected. I'm really not a rude jerk. My apologies to everyone on the board. It just hit me wrong that particular morning.
What can I say except forgive me.
davidmichael
Davidmichael,
Glad to see you found the error in your ways. Your pennance can be to help the next USER who posts a question to which you know the answer.
It's great if we all join and support the board, but I can tell you that I took my time joining until I understood the board's real worth.
This board is a diverse community - it's great when we all treat each other with friendship and respect.
Cheers,
David
Takes a brave man to admit he is weak. We all have bad mornings. DM you have gone from a position of no respect to a position of immense respect. Hey, and you even inspired me to pay my dues -- maybe that was your plot all along.
