Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just noticed my 996 clutch makes a "creaking" noise when the clutch pedal is depressed and released. The gears seem to engage properly... The sound comes from the clutch area of engine compartment and is quite noticible Any thoughts as to what this could be? The 2002 car only has 25,000 km on it Thanks

POST 2Original post

I had the same problem in my Boxster. I thought that it just needed lubrication. They ended up replacing the spring under warranty.

POST 3Original post

I had the same problem on my '99 C2. Apparently there's a TSB about it because the dealer's service manager knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned it to him.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
