Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If you are unable to get the pair on eBay, I have a set from my '04 C2.
Leading evidence: 'Set from my '04 c2' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set from my '04 c2' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys,
I have an '01 C2 with the LED tail lights on it,
when I put them on way back when I was foolish and gave away my OEM's.
Does anyone have a set of OEM tail lights?
I love the LED's and they look sharp as heck, but I miss the original look and want to go back to stock.
Let me know, Thanks!
I just swapped out mine for LED's, and you're right, they look great. But your story has reinforced my decision to hang onto the old ones, at least for awhile. That seems like a decent price for that eBay set. Good luck!
If you are unable to get the pair on eBay, I have a set from my '04 C2. There is a small chip on one of them. Will give you a good price, if interested.
I ordered a set of LEDs (expecting to arrive in a few weeks). All your statements make me pause a bit because I'd planned on selling my stock lights (just as you had)... I have a garage full of OEM parts that I've kept (just in case).... Some from cars I no longer own (crazy)...
Anyway, last I checked Porsche made a ton of 996s and my car is definitely not collector grade (not a daily driver but I get in it every chance I get). If you can wait for my new lights to arrive, I'll make you a deal on my flawless set.
If it doesn't work out with ebay or talkenrain, I might be interested in a swap. I'm in eastern PA and we could possibly meet and swap the lights. If you are interested, send me a pic or two.
Regards,
Langg
I know how you feel about the LEDs. I bought a set of Depo LED tail lights for my 997.1 right after I bought the car. I was happy with them initially. They are a high quality product and they look fairly similar to 997.2 OE tail lights. Unfortunately, they never really grew on me and I always felt that they looked out of place. I removed them after only using them for a few months and reinstalled my OE tail lights. I'm happy with the switch back to stock.
Afro, what do your LED's look like? I might be up for a swap. Shoot me a pm, I'm in Michigan btw, Ann Arbor/Detroit area so shipping is pretty darn quick.
I ordered a set of Dectane (Depo) LED taillights from Pitlane online June 19th.

About $450 shipped to the Oregon. Great price but I'm still waiting and just today (July 10th) discovered they seem to be lost in Germany (last scans was July 4th).
Not happy waiting and wondering but I'm told is worth the wait. I wish I'd pulled the trigger sooner. It's killing me waiting...
Talkenrain, I had the same experience, only I ordered mine in mid April. I was about to give up when they showed up a couple weeks ago. Worth the wait!
Thanks, I read your post about the brake lights not working at first. I was really concerned but glad you sorted that out. I'm hoping mine will just show up but without any tracking number updates for now over 10 days, I'm pretty sure they are lost. If I have to start over I may opt for the clear or smoked finish. I'm not usually a fan of the clear look but after seeing another car with the clear setup, if I have to order again I'd really consider it.
