Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. Im not looking to totally transform the car since it is still a 99% street machine; these seats are nice enough and can still be used with stock belts, so its a win-win.

Also, he does not have to have a rollbar and harnesses with the seats as they can be run with the 3 point belts.

I’ve also thought about using the Alcantara inserts for the horizontal and vertical cushions.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Which wear better?
My C4S is a weekend driver for the most part, but Id like to possibly upgrade the seats for my DEs. I like to keep a clean and well maintained interior, so Im interested in hearing feedback on how the leather and cloth seats wear.
Obviously the bolsters are high and I would have to imagine that is where most of the wear occurs?
TIA
I have the leather seats and still look brand new. I think the leather seats are a little more of a premium look which matches the rest of the interior. It's also easier to clean spills.
That being said the cloth is nomex so if you plan on being on fire. . .
The non-leather ones are not alcantara, they are perlon. I've had both and prefer perlon for the dedicated track car and leather for the dual purpose car.
You will slide around in the leather seats more than the cloth seats.
Keep in mind you'll need a roll bar and 6 point harnesses as well if you are upgrading your seats for track events. I might be selling my cloth GT3 seats soon if I sell my car. I am local you are welcome to check them out tomorrow. I'll likely be at tangerine cafe in cary for lunch tomorrow.

Dan, I've had several sets (of both) and you slide in the leather seats no more than the perlon seats. They are fixed buckets with heavy side bolstering that keeps your **** in place. Also, he does not have to have a rollbar and harnesses with the seats as they can be run with the 3 point belts.
I agree. I also agree with a previous comment about the choice of covering. If it's primarily a street car that gets tracked some, which is what it sounds like, go with leather. If it is a dedicated track car, I'd go with fabric.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Sounds like Leather is my better option.
In regards to sliding, those seats look skinny, and I am not, so I think that when I am buckled in, I won’t be sliding much if at all. I’ve also thought about using the Alcantara inserts for the horizontal and vertical cushions.
I'm a bit smaller than the seats, so for me I definitely notice more sliding in the leather seats than my cloth seats. Same idea of putting tool box liner on seats to help prevent cotton/denim from sliding on leather.
How tall are you? I am 6'1" and fitment in the car with a helmet was an issue. The GT3 seats are fixed back obviously, so you can't recline them for extra headroom like the stock seats. You can pull out some of the butt padding for an extra 0.75" of headroom or go with lowering seat brackets. The sunroof doesn't help at all either.
Was this past PCA event your first DE? If so I would merely suggest you pace yourself a bit on the track spending. That being said, seats and harnesses is probably one of the best upgrades you can do. Increases sensitivity to car dynamics and not sliding around in the stock seats all the time gives confidence.
Im right at 6, but had no trouble sitting upright with my helmet on this past weekend.
This was my 2nd DE. I can pace myself, if not, the CFO does it for me.
The motivation behind looking for seats is that I clearly was sliding around too much and having to grip the wheel too tightly.
