This is not a probability of success.

It's a job I wouldn't recommend (I did it myself with my 01 C4) unless you are real comfortable taking your whole car apart.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And people say the Porsche cup holders are useless! See more here... www.pbase.com/riadanza/porsche/radar

POST 2Original post

I have the Passport SRX which I have just taken out of my M3 and I have been wondering where to install the controller. I kind of want a stealth location.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's nice about this install is that you really can't see is just by casually looking into the car, yet I can see easily.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you are taking about the picture it's because the key was on but the car wasn't started. All the lights were on I've taken PSM off one time in an empty parking lot in the snow just to see the difference... OMG it was scary, although I had fun doing donuts!!

POST 6Original post

Riad, That's a beautiful set up. I'd love to copy it. Can you provide more detail on what it is and how it was done? Also, would you be comfortable sharing the name of your installer (or did you do it?)? Thanks in advance.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had it done at a place called SoundFX in Orange County NY. The owner had his 993 Turbo worked on by a guy I met in the Porsche club and he recommended me to him. The cup holder unit comes completely out and the face plate can be removed from the unit. Then cut a hole to fit the display. The rear laser, front two lasers and the front radar all go back into the control unit that's stored behind the storage bin in the center console. It's a job I wouldn't recommend (I did it myself with my 01 C4) unless you are real comfortable taking your whole car apart. It was $1700 installed...
