sounds like a lot of fun; cannot wait to have the PSE installed on my car, RoW M030 first for me.

Installed the stainless steel doorsills - had these for 2 years sitting on the shelf

I guess the interior will be closer to completion once the aluminium trim ring are on and the centre air vent in aluminium finish is installed too.

Changed steering wheel over to 3 spoke Aluminium - love it as it is thinker than the standard steering wheel and complements the handbrake and gear shift
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just got my car back this afternoon after the PSE was installed. All I can say is WOW!!!!! What a difference. It is like I now drive a totally different car. Not talking about performance but the beautiful music that is created from the rear is wild. I am definitely happy with the results of the PSE. I just do not understand why this is not standard on the car, it just does not make sense.
At the same time I did the following as the car was in bits
:
Changed the tips over to the C4S look-alike tips. Actually fit better than the original.
Changed steering wheel over to 3 spoke Aluminium - love it as it is thinker than the standard steering wheel and complements the handbrake and gear shift

Installed the garage door opener (thanks to the likes of Itzkirb, ZX7R - especially with the targa switch
)
Modifications to follow:
Aluminium trim rings - sitting on the shelf
Aluminium centre vent - on back order
GT3 CII Side skirts - to be installed in 10 days
PSS9 Suspension Kit - hopefully before the end of the month
Colour wheel caps - when I actually pull my finger out and pull the black ones off
This forum is extremely dangerous to the hip pocket! I will post photos once the digital camera makes its way back home.

ps Still have that wonderful sound in my mind - and its true sound bites do not do justice to the exhaust
Here is a quick snap of the steering wheel. Please excuse the mess in the car. I was using it to pick up equipment for clients today
Couldn't leave the cab home on a 30 degree celcius day and with the PSE just installed.......
As you can see from the image below there are now three switches placed on the right hand side of the console.
The first is for the PSE - which I doubt I will ever use
The second is the relocated spoiler switch from the kick boards of the drivers footwell
The third is the targa's rear blind switch, which is attached to the garage remote door controller.
The two last ideas were taken from others that have already performed these mods. You can find them in the DIY pages of renntech.org or on the photo albums of users like Itzkirb or Scouser (thanks guys!)
Couldn't resist, here is one more of the rear end (even though they are not of the best quality or clean car) with the C4S tips.
I promise I will not be post any more pictures till the car is clean and post worthy
Nice going Arthur. Love that 3 spoke.
Alll you got to do now is put my iPod install in place and your done. I will be posting out the DIY page for this in a week or so.
For those that want to do the tail switch mod. Go here:

Thanks Scouser.....
I must admit I was a bit hesitant about the steering wheel to begin with. As there was no way of seeing it before buying it, I took a bit of a risk (as I was buying from the US). Happily to report though that it is perfect. It makes the handbrake and gear shift aluminium finish more complete now. Also love the fact it is thicker than the standard steering wheel that my original 3 spoke was.
I guess the interior will be closer to completion once the aluminium trim ring are on and the centre air vent in aluminium finish is installed too.

Hey Arthur,
Where abouts in Oz are you. I am ex Ausie. Well actually born in the UK but lived half my life in NSW/ACT. Been back here in UK 7 years.
Cheers,
Berny
Well they say you can take the pom out the country but you can't take the country out the pom
Strangely in the 7 years I have been back the only thing I miss is the weather. But to be honest it has been prety good here in the UK over the last several summers. I am not complaining. The beer is the best, the food is "a lot better than it used to be" and the roads.......yeah well we get a bit busy here and there
We mainly came back to see Europe. And since being back we have made the best of that choice. In fact tommorow I head for Menorca for a week at my holiday home. Plus taking the Porker out to Germany is fun
We get out to the continent at least 3 times a year. Different cultures, languages, food, roads etc........hmmm...I hear you say we got that too in Oz.....and your right
Cheers mate,
Berny
Berny,
I am envious. I must admit that I love Australia for what it is and the diversity of its population. I believe its the only country in the world that is so diverse and unique due to this.
On the down side though we are fairly far from both Europe and the US. Have been to Europe 4 times, Asia 3 times and the US once, have been lucky on the travel side of things and at the age of 32 hope to do more. Europe is always fun and love going back every time. Living in the UK would be so easy to just jump on a ferry with the car and hit the roads of Europe.
At some point in my life I hope I can do a Euro delivery of a future porsche and see what you see :d Enjoy your holiday!
Regards
Arthur
Ken,
I picked up the steering wheel from Brandywine porsche. I paid $695 for it from memory. It is an original factory Tequipment part and the part number is: 996 347 983 28 A28
I think it is a worth while upgrade, especially in a black interior. Since I already had the handbrake and gearshift in Aluminium finish the steering wheel was an easy choice.
Thanks, I have a grey interior but with the handbrake and gearshift in Aluminium also. I think that there is enough balck in the car to go with the steering wheel, don't you?
I would hazard a guess that the steering wheel should come in grey leather finish too. Apart from the fact it might look a bit strange, you need to reuse your airbag. It will definately look strange with a grey airbag on a black steernig wheel.
I believe the A28 designates the colour of the leather, I might be wrong on this but Loren on renntech.org would definately know the answer. Otherwise put a phone call into a dealer and make the enquiry.
Ken,
I have just come across a website where they mention that the steering wheel is available in most factory colours. They had the steering wheel listed at $986.50
