Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It' a good idea to still get a PPI and probably a carfax.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Folks,
Can someone who lives in the Cleveland, OH area help me out ?
I'm considering a 996TT out there (and I live out here in CA) and would appreciate someone who could take the time to 'check out' a car for me.
Give it the once over with a very keen eye as to whether or not it's really in "mint condition" as claimed.
I'll have it mechanically checked, but wondering if someone out there who has a critical eye could help me out.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
mal28 : I'm not sure. I'll ask the seller for a more 'explicit' city. I'm not familiar with Cleveland at all. SO, no idea about Marshall Goldman's (or what that name means).
jeeva: Thanks for the pointer. I'll send a private message to Palting.
Very much appreciate your help folks!
Andy
Hi, Andy. I replied to your PM as well. Just e-mail or PM me the specifics, such as location and specific car description like VIN, and I'll "eyeball" it for you. May even know the owner if he is a Porsche club member. It' a good idea to still get a PPI and probably a carfax.
mal28: Thanks.
Palting : Thanks! I've done a carfax already. And plan to schedule a PPI (was thinking to do it at one of the 'local' porsche dealers there. Not sure how extensive it is.).
If you have a recommendation of a place in that area, I'd love to hear it.
I know there's Fred Baker Porsche and Stoddard Porsche (suggested by seller). Not sure if you have heard of them and/or their reputation.
Thanks,
Andy
Baker and Stoddard Porsche are two of the oldest more respected dealers in NE Ohio, Stoddard a bit more senior. One of them, I forgot which one, actually started this DE with Porsche and other sports cars idea. You can't go wrong with either one for the PPI.
