If you have a car from 2000 or earlier the price for the upgrade in Denmark would be around 1800 Euro, because they have to change some hardware also.

Whent to my dealer to hear about new upgrade for the PCM 1 system and he told me that they have just recived a new upgrade for all Europe to the PCM 1 system. BUT...... If you have a car from 2000 or earlier the price for the upgrade in Denmark would be around 1800 Euro, because they have to change some hardware also. If your car is from 2001 and newer the price where around 800 Euro. Well my car is from december 2000 Somehow I find it a little ****ty that it cost 1800 Euro to upgrade a 3 year old cars navigation system. But I don�t think Porsche cares. Hope it is cheaper for the US drivers.

Does the upgrade add new functions or it is only the CD pack? I really don't understand why does it require a HW upgrade if no functionallity is added...

What Porsche knew, it did not contain any new functions, only that the old hardware could not read the new CD�s, but it was still not the same cd�s as for the PCM 2 system. I will know more on Monday where I will go out to the local Porsche dealer and try to load the new CD�s.
