This is not a probability of success.

I might just try them out, or go for 295's in rear again as that is what I was running with the pirrelli 140 tread wear rating stickies.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Since the pilot sp2's aren't made in 285's yet, it seems the bfg's are the best for dry perfromance, not so great in wet but this is california so who cares so much. It's either those or the so2's for the max dry traction anyone have any experience with those bfg's? I might just try them out, or go for 295's in rear again as that is what I was running with the pirrelli 140 tread wear rating stickies. thanks.

POST 2Original post

Sean, You've got to be kidding me. The S-02 doesn't even compare with tires like the PS2 (?) and the BFG g-Force KD. At the very least, you should try the S-02A's. Now, that is a great tire for your car but likely slightly less sticky than the KD's. But, at least, they wont be as noisy. LOL! As to the PS2, I am more and more inclined to believe that, even though they may be a great tire, their performance on the GT3 is exemplary, to say the least, likely because of the suspension tuning on that car. I just find it hard to believe that a tire with a 220 tread wear rating can be this good. I know these ratings mean very little, but... Anyway, I am dieing to hear how the PS2s perform on a car other than the GT3.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I think I am going to get another set of the 295's then for the rear of my 996 and will let you know. I ended up getting them for the 993tt but the body work isn't done yet. That will be interesting to see how it works with the pss9's and the trg rear sway-

POST 4Original post

Sean, Are you going for the 235's in front? That's what I would do if you have an 8.5" wheel or bigger.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did on the 993tt. I am debating whether to swap rims to do the same

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am very torn whether to go fo new rims and do the sp2's or just try those bfg's for a bit as I might sell the car and get something else. I am leaning toward the latter given the ill consequence.
