Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

i'm not familiar with facom's quality, but given my almost 20 years experience with snap on that's what i'll continue to use, even if it costs me more.

I will be using my tools for kart racing, auto-x/DE, garage, and hopefully one day a dedicated race car.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anybody have an opinion or experience with Facom tools?
I really like the unit that Griot's sells with the complete rolling trolley and the drawer organizers. They sell a version that is NOT the Ferrari lmtd. edition and lowers the price about $500 bucks. I did a rough comparison this morning comparing similar tools in the Snap-On range and the Facom actually came out looking pretty good!
I'm a little apprehensive though since I don't know much about Facom.
Also does anybody know a good place to buy Facom tools where I might find the same thing cheaper than Griot's?
TIA
Is the quality of Facom comparible to Snap-On?
I did a search and a couple people rate it very highly. I like the fact that it is about half the price of Snap On but don't want to sacrifice too much on the quality side.
A BIG attraction of the Griot's product is the way it comes complete with the rolling box AND the drawer organizers. I have not seen anything as integrated from Snap On.
i don't know how the quality of facom compares to snap on. i ended get spending way way too much on snap on. iknow the griot package you talk about as i buy a lot of stuf from griots. but yous should look into the conents of the package. i didn't get it at the end b/c 1/2 of the stuff i just don't use. YMMV
facom is very highly rated from what i have heard.
I have a few FACOM tools. FACOM also owns S-K Tools and who knows what else.
Hazet, Snap-On, Stahlwille, Proto, Sears, and a dozen other brands. I have a few of them all.
There is a FACOM dealer where I live in San Jose.
What do you want to know about automotive tools?
They call me tool pants for a reason, I guess.
ToolPants I guess you're the guy to ask......
I was going to buy Snap-On but really liked the Facom set that Griot's sells.

I would like to get 1 and then eventually 2 of the rolling "flat-top" cabinets as I feel they are more useful than the traditional rollaways.
The Facom unit is really nice with it's drawer organizers, spray can holders etc. Since the Facom stuff seems to be priced well below Snap-On, I am definately considering it as long as the quality is comparable. I've read a lof threads and spoke with my friend who is a professional mechanic, and it seems Craftsman is not what it used to be.
I'm trying to find out if Snap-On offers the same kind of rolling "flat top" cabinet as well.
I will be using my tools for kart racing, auto-x/DE, garage, and hopefully one day a dedicated race car. I like the fact that I can have a portable toolbox/workbench for the garage and track that can roll in and out of a trailer easily.
Whewww!
snap on tools have such a great name for a reason. they last forever. most other tools i've tried will last a while (20 year), but not forever like a snap on does. and they work just like new (or better) pretty much forever too. i'm not familiar with facom's quality, but given my almost 20 years experience with snap on that's what i'll continue to use, even if it costs me more.
