Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This morning the Bose wouldn't start. I cranked it over a few times but nothing, If I had put the GHL exhaust in there'd be more to listen to, but maybe they'd blame the radio on the exhaust. I guess its going back.

POST 2Original post

Do you have PCM? If so that happens you need to get the software updated. Usually locking the car and unlocking it fixes the problem...it did for me.

POST 3Original post

Cd players have humidity detectors that shut them off. Cold morning, wet yesterday??

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The P car has a nice warm garage and I don't have PCM, But I did the lock- unlock thing and Yep its working again, Thanks! I called service who advised me there are a bunch of 03's out there with bad sound. Thanks Again!

POST 5Original post

Read this thread yesterday and didn't think that much about it. I just went to lunch and when I returned to the car the BOSE did not work. I remembered this thread, came back to the office to read the replies. I went back to the car, unlocked it, and what do you know the BOSE now works again! This is great - thanks to all!!!!

I've had the same problem with mine. '03 C2 with Bose system. I noticed that it happens, primarily for me, on very cold mornings. There are a number of those, since I live in NH. After about 5 minutes I hit the power switch again and it seems to pop on. If that fails, I hit the cd button, and it seems to force the system on, despite how long I have had the car operating for... Just my experience. ben
