I only received (1) remote/Key for my car I need to get a spare. What is the dealer going to set me back I thought I read it was not cheap... I see these used on ebay all the time... can I get the dealer to cut me a key and buy a used remote and have it programed to my car?

Sandoval, I only got one regular key with my car as well. I did get the valet key though. The valet key works to start the car and unlock the doors, but does not have the remote. The price quoted to lear60man of $300 is cheap compared to what I have been quoted. My dealer quoted me something like $375. They have to special order the key from Europe and they usually have the remote in stock. This price included about one hour of dealer labor for programming the key and alarm system.

eric, newport autocenter charged $200 for the whole shebang, they can cut the key on the premisses. i got a discount because they made me wait 45 mins to get my car...time is money! ps--will you be at the crystal cove meet next sat?

$200 sounds like an excellent price. i got quoted 140 for the remote, 70 for the blank, and 90 to program it for a total of 300. watch out for the ones on ebay because they usually don't have the number tag that comes with it and you need that to reprogram it to your car!
