Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
It's going to Guido's tomorrow to have the odometer "adjusted."
Leading evidence: 'Adjust ."' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'second lowest total miles' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust ."' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
So, I guess mine is the second lowest MPY, and most likely the second lowest total miles on this board.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

+1. The seals must be dry and hard like stale biscotti. What is the point of buying such a car, not driving it and watching it lose half it's value sitting in a garage?
But, but, but...the car is in Rhode Island and maybe the prior owner was in a witness protection program or under House Arrest and not allow to leave the state.
Medtech,
I don't know which of your avatars is worse..... the last one or the current one!
Sorry, but I am bored today and tired of looking for jobs that don't exist so I thought I would
a little! hee hee
I, on the other hand, have a cool one this week... wait till next week, I already made it and I love it...
<Ed thinks to himself> I haven't spent much time on mods lately, do avatar mods count? Hmmm these guys must think I am a nut job chaging avatars every week or two....(well that and I have WHAT in my garage)
I had my wife translate Med's last one, It is written backwards and mirror imaged reverse, she said something about dogs ... my A.D.D kicked in and I started thinking about shiny things....and beer... wait no, I meant BIG WINGS
Phil's car is a "high mileage" car compared to the one I posted in the initial post. He has about 3,200 miles his car.
BTW - I never thought I would refer to Phil's car as being a "high mileage" car. After Phil reads how I described his car, I think there may be a frantic call made to his therapist to schedule an emergency session, which will be billed at 2 -1/2 times the normal rate.
Already had my session at 7AM. Just in time for me to take the TT back to the dealership to have the convertible top mechanism replaced
for the fifth time!!!!
I wish my brother (a psychiatrist) could treat me, but he can't be objective, plus he has the same disease as I do.
Yes, I have no picture taking or photoshop skills. Perhaps I could hire someone to make me a cool avatar like the rest of the kids!
BTW, that's not pink, it's red....well maybe it does look pink....damn!
Assuming Phil's car is exactly 5 years old, and his mileage is exactly 3200, that makes it 640 miles/year. So, I guess mine is the second lowest MPY, and most likely the second lowest total miles on this board. At 5800 miles and 8 years and 1 month old, I have 717 miles/year. And never driven on a wet road.
I'm .... speechless.
Only my '65 e-type had fewer miles. I owne it 3 years and my brother owned it for around that long. I think we put around 200 miles on it during our combined ownership. Now that car was really a trailer queen. Truly beautiful car. I won several awards with it in regional and national concours events, but I never really enjoyed owning it.
I can just hear it now from the 997 peanut gallery..............."That dealer is out of their friggin mind for asking that price! That car is worth, barely $35k! I'd offer them $25k and tell them to throw in winter mats, oil changeszzzz fer LIfez yo!"
Look at this price on this tt with 24k

Expensive, yes, but arguably a very "collectible" car. 24K mile example of the last air cooled Turbo S? Fewer than 200 were built; in a highly desirable color combo, etc. etc.
It's definitely priced accordingly, but as P-cars of the last 20 years go, it's right up there.
I guess I should feel awkward putting 1500 miles on my recently delivered 997RS, it know has about 10.5k miles. Mind you, this was accomplished in less than 16 days, and to boot it's my weekend car.
