The road begs you to run through the gears - up to 85 mph on short straights down to 15 mph on uphill near-hairpin turns.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Recently I had one of the best pure driving enjoyment experiences of my life. I had a hunch that most of Austin would be at home cooking on Thanksgiving morning, so I took my 996 out near Lake Travis in Austin to make the Lime Creek Road run. This is a great road that twists, turns, and winds its way along the cliffs and shoreline of Lake Travis (a beautiful lake near Austin). The road begs you to run through the gears - up to 85 mph on short straights down to 15 mph on uphill near-hairpin turns.
I ran the best section of the road (about 15-20 miles) three times (end to end to end) and only encountered one other car going in my direction the whole time! I did pass a nice silver C4S going the opposite direction who obviously had the same idea I did.
On my final run, I stopped a few times and snapped some pictures. This day was perfect - 70 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, the turquoise blue backdrop of the lake, and the best 15 miles of road I know of in the finest car I've ever driven... This is what it is all about!
I know the road you speak of VERY well! I use to live there when I was stationed at Bergrstrom AFB.
Do you know of any GTG or drives coming up? Not a lot of things goin on here in Houston.
I live in Austin also, actually up on the north side of Lake Travis. I know Lime Creek very well. We're lucky to live in the coolest place in TX, with the best roads by far.
I'd also recommend that for a change of pace you hit 1431 between Lago Vista and Marble Falls. Its very smooth, low traffic, and much faster than lime creek. Lots of 80mph+ sweepers and too remote to get much law enforcement attention. We have a loop that our local Audi club does that we call the "Cowburgring Nordschleife" due to the cattle ranches.
Not much happening in the Austin P-car community except for happy hours and dinners. Not sure when the next PCA drive is.
I really like the carrera cab wing on your car. I plan to get one soon.
Let me know if you hit any of the PCA lunches and I'll try to make it to check out your new ride. Looks great.

Thanks everyone for the comments...
NickS - I'm not sure what a GTG is - I'm new to the Pcar world. I only know the local Porsche club has some Driver's Education events coming up on some Texas racetracks soon, but that's all so far. I plan to attend my first meeting next month...
delliott00 - Thanks for the tip on the Logo Vista run. Maybe this weekend I'll check it out - the weather is supposed to be cool and clear... I definately plan to attend the next HCRPCA lunch - hope to see you there!
ProV1 - here are a few more pix of the spoiler...
LOL...a GTG is short for Get Together. Austin is only a few hours away so if there was a group of people getting together I would join up. Dave will let me know if there is a GTG anytime soon.
Dave - I'm sure Pete would come up with me in his car.
