Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

i don't know about the spoilers and wings but i can tell you from my own experience that it is VERY EASY to paint those gray textured pieces your talking about, all you need to do is get some "Primer Filler" and spay that on the pieces first and use some 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper to make it all smooth if it isn't from the spay and then paint it like you normally would anything else, my pieces looked better than factory pieces when i finished in my 99

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi when/if you installed a rear wing, did you leave on the brake light strip above the stock spoiler? it seems like many wings come with its own brake light so it'd look funny w/ so many brake lights. or do u leave it on and redo the wiring so that the stock brake light doesnt not come on? also, 99 996s have grayish, textured interior pieces that cannot be painted on. do MY00&01 trims fit with no problems? are there any front spoilers or rear wings that add on to existing pieces (not replacements)?

POST 3Original post

I just took a spin in an 01 C4 cab with an aero package...They left the light bar in, and had one on the spoiler....It looked fine since they are at the same height...BUT, looking just fine and looking factory are two different things.

POST 4Original post

I believe they have a cap that goes over the original brake light, it has "porsche" etched in it. I remember doncapecod had a post about how he filled in the porsche letters with black paint.
