This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know I should get a Cayenne or something, but my wife needs the practicality and seating capacity of a minivan. We currently have an '02 Honda Odyssey which is good, but very noisy on the freeways, so we are considering getting a '04 Toyota Sienna AWD XLE Limited with DVD and navigation. We would loose 10HP going from the Honda to the Toyota, but gain the AWD, better gas mileage plus a variety of luxury options. Cost is not a factor in this decision (I got a Porsche, so she can get anything she wants). Does anybody on this board have any thoughts/comments/suggestion reegarding the Toyota? Any options to get or to avoid?

POST 2Original post

My wife and I are looking into these as well. Have you thought about the Nissan Quest? It's the front runner in our choices right now. No AWD, but the FWD in our current van (Town and Country = ease of use good, reliability sucks) has not been a problem in the winter.

POST 3Original post

I bought a new silver V8 4Runner Limited and love it. Its smooth, quiet, powerful, looks great and people seem to scatter out of its way somehow. Is reasonable on gas for what it is. Its getting 13 l / 100Km which I think is 20 MPG mostly in town, but I baby it around because that's its personality (after the Porsche anyway) No problems, Toyota quality seems faultless. I'd buy another

POST 4Original post

My wife and I just bought the XLE Limited FWD last june. THe van is great! The van has all the latest gadgets including DVD, NAV, rear camera. Funny how options like these quickly become necessites. Ride and comfort is great. MPG about 18-19 mostly stop and go in the suburbs. HWY MPG ~ 22-23. Complaints: no seat memory or rain sensitive wipers like my C4S and the rear DVD screen is difficult to see at times by small children in 2nd row seats. Bought ours at discount 4 months ago. The time to get an AWD model was too long for us. We had VSC (vehicle skid control) in our last van and had no problems with the snow (8-10"). There is a great web site at siennaclub.org full of info about the van. Good luck.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the info. Roadrage, the one I am considering sounds exactly like yours with AWD. Test drove it today and almost gave the dealer a heart attack. It got to 100mph without too much effort, and the ABS brakes were pretty good at stopping the van. I guess they don't get into too many test drives Porsche owners. I think I am going to go for a Arctic Frost Pearl one.

POST 6Original post

Should not the discussion of SUV's of any make, including Cayennes, be declared a prohibited topic on this board?
