I remember on the 968 there is a spacer and a washer used for the bolts securing the caliper.

It seems like the hats on the rotors may not be the correct offset for use with the GT2 hubs?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am , as we speak, putting TT brakes in my 1999 C2. I have TT rotors and calipers with GT2 carriers/hubs etc. I followed all of the part #s given in earlier posts by others who have done the conversion. The problem is that the calipers do not fit properly over the rotors. There are 4 stops inside the calipers that keep the pads from rotating. On the inside the stops rub on the TT calipers. Ideas? It seems like the hats on the rotors may not be the correct offset for use with the GT2 hubs? Or that I should have other rotors. Any thoughts or lists of part #s would be appreciated. Thanks. Alex

POST 2Original post

I remember on the 968 there is a spacer and a washer used for the bolts securing the caliper. I mixed them up and had them swaped which made the caliper bind the rotor.... maybe that helps?
