Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The TT rear bumper can be installed easily enough, but it has nothing to do with widening the tail lights.
Leading evidence: 'Install easily enough' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check pm' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

But I guess the lights it is more difficult to change because they are wider.

Briefly I think it is impossible unless I change all the rear body.

In order to have the C4S, Turbo, and GT2, rear brake lights I am sure you would have to change the rear fenders to a C4S.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ok, I bought a used 996 Carrera 2 a month ago and now I have seen a couple of 996 4S and I start really liking it.
I don't want to buy a 4S for two reasons:
1. it is a 4 wheel drive
2. it is too heavy
but I really like the front and rear bumpers but mainly the rear lights.
The bumpers is something of factible to add on my C2.
But I guess the lights it is more difficult to change because they are wider.
Do you have solutions to that? Do you know someone who has done this work of putting 4S rear lights on a normal C2?
thank you in advance
I've "converted" my 02 Cab narrowbody with a turbo nose and a TT rear rear end. I don't quite understand what you mean by "the lights" If your's is pre 02 then there are after market "turbo look" front ends that look very nice.
The TT rear bumper can be installed easily enough, but it has nothing to do with widening the tail lights. That sounds like a major job.
Let me know if you need any more info.
Thank Don
sorry for my english
I think I meant the rear stops, plus the red line that only the 4S has!
I have the 2002 model so the front lights are ok.
PS: could you post some pics of the front of your car? thank you in advance
I understand what he means. He is referring to the taillights. In the widebodies the tail lights are much more substantial. They are larger, and don't have white squares in the middle of the red strip. Take a look at the taillights on the C4S, Turbo, or GT2 versus those on the C2 or GT3.
I don't think you will have much luck adding those taillights.
Thank you for the replies.
Looking carefully to the body of the 4S and the normal C2, I noticed that the rear is different and that the 4S taillights are wider so need more space to fit in a C2 body.
Briefly I think it is impossible unless I change all the rear body.
However front and rear bumpers with a Cargraphic line (thank you dpblessing ) would probably satisfy what I was looking for
x 03-C4S : check your PM
And maybe even more - I'm sure that the C4S has a different engine lid than the narrow body; this might effect the fit of the rear lights as well.
I'm guessing "lots" of the rear end changes would be required. Much cost, no real C4S benifits.
captain...
it's nice you want to mod your C2. but C4S is not too heavy and it's not really 4WD... i mean you only get 7% power to front. i tracked both my C2 and C4S, one is as fast as another and you can throttle steer either one very well. you have to paly with the antisway bar on C4S to rid understeer that's about all.
