had a full dealer service so good that they changed his gearbox last year completely FOR FREE 'as a goodwill gesture' so they wrote on the invoice..

Greetings (..ya all!)
The search has finally ended and tomorrow I'm taking delivery of my new Carrera, gorgeous to say the least, with the following specs..
- 1998 996 Carrera FSH
- 6-Speed Manual Short-shifter (recommended to all!)
- Gemballa exhausts (now this is what i call Music!)
- Black interior
- Black exterior
- 19in turbo rims
- Center and side grills, center console painted in black gloss exterior color
- Sunroof
- Heated seats (ya sure, I'll use those here!!)
- New tyres (P-Zeros) new clutch new RMS new brakepads
Car needs some minor tweaks according to PPI (hoses change and new radiators)
I'll send the pics as soon as i get hold of the car...
And I wont forget to mention that I owe all the above to Fadz996 (Fadi) but then again, his C4S wont stand much of a chanllenge to turn heads around against my Gemballas..! Sorry Fadz!

The car is equiped with 6-CD changer. I'll keep the head but definitely revamp the speakers and amps.. Might go for a similar setup of my previous 996.. 300W RMS Bpunkt Amp, Rear 8in 3ways Bpunks and a 10in Sub..

Plenty of radars here in the U.A.E. some flash you from behind and some from the front. Between Abu Dhabi (capital of the U.A.E.) and Dubai are at least 12 permanent cameras and always a mobile one but the Valentine 1 works great!

First things first, I got to put her in tip-top shape as regards to serviceable items..
The audio will surely come later, your advice taken Carlos.. I'll consult some audio shops here, I'm sure I'll find the right combination for Matt Darey's trance mixes to raise adrenalin over and above the Gemballa's overdose! The doors do not have speakers enclosures, I was surprised.. instead they have a small opening in the front (will post pics)..
One thing I really love is that it's got T/C which was very important to me.. (the car is german by origin)... Controlled, shall be the slides (Master Yoda way)
I'll consult Mr. C4 for the radar detector, and btw, I'll be looking to attend Cuub meetings or gathering as work permits (got to pay for the car after all!!)

Yes, the dectectors are supposed to be illegal but it seems the cops are always sleeping anyway and I always mount it discreetly close to the dash low on the windshield or up by the rear view mirror. Mostly K and Ka band cameras in place but rumours say they are testing laser "guns".
