Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I believe my C2 uses a motor to lift the spoiler at speed.
Leading evidence: 'Use motor' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use motor' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

New member... looking for some upgrade advice... '01 C2 Cab, rear damage after interesting off track experience at Barber many moons ago... Need new rear lid, prefer one with a big spoiler on it. Found a nice one on EBay, got it for $200. It is a '01 Turbo rear lid with a spoiler. It still has the hydraulics attached. I believe my C2 uses a motor to lift the spoiler at speed. Question? How should I retrofit the Turbo lid to my car? Can I use the motor on my lid to raise the new one? Can I add a hydraulic pump to my car to lift it? Is it sensible if either of these options is too expensive to not have the thing lift at all?
Thanks in advance!

A factory "Turbo" (wide body) wing will not fit on an N/A (narrow body) car... It simply will not. Either your wing is aftermarket (likely) or a chopped up version of a factory part.
IMHO Porsche has spent thousand of hours and dollars designing aero kits for their cars, putting anything other than the "model specific and complete" Porsche factory aero kit on your car will cause unwanted lift and/or lack of control at higher speeds...
If his car is in his sig it looks as though he has the rear quarters of a turbo.... If so the "Turbo" rear decklid might fit.... I cannot be sure, but if true his car is not a true N/A body with the turbo rear decklid...
A pic will tell us all...
i wish somebody would make only the lower part of the turbo tail, not with the upper wing, for a narrow body. i like the small sleek size. perhaps i could find narrow body version replica and just have the upper part removed.
Yup, Maci's car is a FrankenPorsche - a NB with a bastardization of the rear end to make it look like a Turbo.
I don't know if Maci's car is a NB replica of the turbo wing, as they are available, but that is the most likely scenario considering that adding a factory Turbo wing to a NB Porsche requires considerable metalwork to be performed. Do a search and you will see that a couple of people have chopped their Porsches to do this insane mod.
hahaha... I love the pics !
I really love that the spot it sat in my garage for 7 months while I tried to give it away is now empty !!
Go Factory Aero complete or Go Home (this is what I have learned) - I went home
