Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am interested in adding a PCM Nav unit to my '01 C2 Cab. I found one that has the screen unit and the CD drive, but no antenna or wiring/mounting hardware. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a kit of parts without the electronics? Any experience with the install? Should I run from this idea? :-) Thanks in advance for your thoughts! -Tim Macklin Birmingham, AL 2001 Lapis Blue C2 Cabriolet

POST 2Original post

PCM is a piece of crap.... but I do like the cassette player.

POST 3Original post

Better off with a nice double din aftermarket nav with good features like Bluetooth, iPOD, Sat Radio...etc

POST 4Original post

When I got my car about 18 months ago, I was looking for a used PCM nav and I'm glad I didn't find one. I had a Kenwood double din unit installed with nav, blue tooth, I Phone or I pod ++++. Looks and sounds amazing.

POST 5Original post

I agree with the previous comments... get a good aftermarket system. Pioneer and Kenwood both offer nice options.
