Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Especially if you will only be using the OEM seat belts but that's just me.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got my first DE coming up early December and need to get a helmet. Any recommendations on type, make or source. I'm in San Diego so heat is not really an issue. Thanks for your help. Bruce

POST 3Original post

My recommendation would be a bell Pyrotect Open Face, Solid White. I like the open face helmets because of extra cooling and better field of vision. You can also hear better in an open face, which helps with the shifting.

POST 4Original post

Bruce, You really need to go to a race supply store and try different helmets on. Every helmet is a little different so it's the only way to find one that you are comfortable in. It is also a good idea to have someone that knows what they are doing help you with getting the right fit. Personally I would never wear an open face helmet. Especially if you will only be using the OEM seat belts but that's just me. Jim

POST 5Original post

I got my Bell from www.ogracing.com I would suggest a full face helmet, a bit safer and you can remove the visor if you like.

POST 6Original post

Full face. Helps your chin if you hit something. Get the one that fits your head. You could have a Bell head, a Shoei head and Arai Head, etc.
