Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After washing when the water has beaded on the top, I use a cotton bath towel and just lay it on the top and "blot" the water.

I use a lint remover to clean the soft top before I wash and never rub anything off.

I use same technique as Don on the top, and Griot's products everywhere else.

I totally forgot that I had bought it several years ago to clean my BMWs rims.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am ready to wash my new 03 Cab for the first time...I presume that normal non abrasive car wash soap and wheel cleansers are ok but do any of you have recommendations before I make a mistake that I regret?
I checked out tweeks and saw the cabrio cleaning kits for $134. Is this really worth it?
Thanks!!!
P21S? I looked at a whole bunch of different auto detailing sites and decided to go with their products, although there were certainly other good choices.
They make an excellent wheel cleaner - descirbed as 'German made, Factory Approved'. Got my wheels clean at least. I just bought the Auto Care Set, it's about $45 if you look around online. It includes car wash, wheel cleaner, polish, & wax.
The wax is interesting stuff, not like regular car wax I had used in the past. Although it's a paste, it seems to have a much lower 'melting' point and you don't wait for it to haze before buffing it off. It really is
Wax on. Wax off.

raclaims..re your soft top. It probably has enough protection on it so it will bead when you wash. I use a lint remover to clean the soft top before I wash and never rub anything off. After washing when the water has beaded on the top, I use a cotton bath towel and just lay it on the top and "blot" the water. Lift the towel carefully and do the same thing in the next area. Just my .02
I use same technique as Don on the top, and Griot's products everywhere else. Kind of pricey, but so are our cars, and the quality of the Griot's stuff is consistently good. Only problem: you can only get them by mail.
Here is the link to the site:

P.S: I have a black car and spend hours upon hours cleaning it. I found out it's something I enjoy.
Leon,
I just ordered enough stuff for Griots to take a nice long vacation! You weren't kidding about it being expensive...it was almost a car payment!!
I'll let you know how it works out...
Thanks everyone...
Random Alias,
I cleaned out my entire garage over the labor day weekend to make sure I have enough room to regularly detail my car. Incredibly I came across a bottle of P21S! I totally forgot that I had bought it several years ago to clean my BMWs rims. The stuff is great.
I still have not received my supplies from Griot's Garage and my car gets more and more dirty!
