Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

I'm not sure exactly what this is supposed to mean, but every radar-detector testing organization, magazine, and website in the world has proven that these "passive" jammers are a hoax intended to make you part with some serious dough.
Leading evidence: 'Test organization, magazine, and website in the world has proven' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test organization, magazine, and website in the world has proven' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Please can I have some advice guys
Which is the best radar jammer available and what are the pro's and cons of of radar jammers as opposed to ordinary detectors....Am I right in saying that by the time you've detected the radar gun it's too late and jammers are really quite a necessarry bit of kit?
I realise that the speed trap /gps detectors are useful but am inclined to think that they are best used in conjunction with a radar jammer is this so?
Donny J
Radar jammers? that stuff is seriuosly ilegal and hard to come by if they even work. Radar bounces and scatters anyway so you can detect it before you are caught most of the times and slow down beforehand. For radar, a good detector (which ones depends on your location) is the way to go.
Laser guns (Lidar) is the narrow beam that you usually won't detect before you are already clocked in a fraction of a second from as far away as a km, so laser detectors are generally useless. For laser, the best way to go is a laser diffuser which will shoot a stronger laser back to the cops laser gun when it detects you are being targeted therefore confusing the laser gun and giving the cop an error message. Lidatech's and Blinder's work the best.
GPS detectors are good but as you pointed out best when used in conjunction of a radar detector and will not warn you of movile radar cars (Ka band Multanova's for example) or laser traps.
Hope this answers some of your questions Donny.
I reasearched jammers a few months ago, and I wanted to install one (legal or not), but it seems most of the ones commercially offered afford no protection at all! Some of them even boost the radar signal bouncing off your car making you clockable at a longer distance...
I ended up with the Escort SRX, a "stealth" radar detector and Lidar "shifter". It is permanently mounted in the car, detects most radar, and jamms lidar. In one magazine test it blocked 99% of lidar.
radar jammers don't work, otherwise every fighter jet in the world would have one, that's why they made planes like the stealth so that they can abvorb radar and give off a smaller signal when they are radared, and to top that off they are highly illegal, laser jammers from lidatek and passport work very well
All of the so-called radar jammers (or "diffusers") on the market today are "passive". I'm not sure exactly what this is supposed to mean, but every radar-detector testing organization, magazine, and website in the world has proven that these "passive" jammers are a hoax intended to make you part with some serious dough.
There are "Active" radar jammers that are effective against X and K band radar (not superwide Ka band), but they are a felony to possess or use and they have not been sold in the U.S. for many many years.
Sorry, there is no way to jam a radar signal unless you somehow got some of that stealth paint they use in the military.
In that case - yes they do work if installed properly. The one that most people on the board seem to be happy with is Lidatek, although I have the K40.
There are many other posts on this - do a search for Lidatek or laser jammer.
