This is not a probability of success.

Suncoast Porsche's preliminary 2004 order guide for the C4S cabrio indicates that a couple of colors are changing; I suspect this will be the case for all body styles:

I think with all the resources and connections on these forums we would have heard for sure if such a radical change like front end look has been made.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

3 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

About to buy new C4S '04, wanted to know if there are any changes vs the '03 C4S. Was told by dealer that there are no changes whatsoever, Can anyone help confirm this, are there any additional colors or options?

POST 2Original post

Suncoast Porsche's preliminary 2004 order guide for the C4S cabrio indicates that a couple of colors are changing; I suspect this will be the case for all body styles: Four standard colors no change Metallic colors: Carmon Red metallic and Atlas Gray metallic new; Orient Red metallic discontinued; Meridian moved to special paint group Special paint: Meridian moved here; Zanzibar Red discontinued. By the way, new guy; lurking here a while; BMW owner with aspirations to move up in the world...

POST 3Original post

Most significant chage in C4Ss for '04 is the introduction of the C4S Cabriolet for the first time in Porsche history.

POST 4Original post

interesting. what's Carmon Red metallic and Atlas Gray metallic? pic?

POST 5Original post

Don't know a thing about Atlas Gray, but Carmon Red metallic is a Cayenne color.

POST 6Original post

Atlas Grey is the color I would have gotten but it was not an option on 03 cars...it's like the ferrari titanium sliver, or a darker deeper seal grey.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, I was at my Dealer today and was told that my C4S '04 was finished production in Germany, and that there is good chance that my car may have the old '993 headlight design, he didn't mention the word '997 look, but isn't that what we have heard and seen on spyphoto.com? Another Roadflyer, also had the same experience today. Same information was given to him or her.

POST 9Original post

"Atlas Grey is the color I would have gotten but it was not an option on 03 cars...it's like the ferrari titanium sliver, or a darker deeper seal grey" really? got a picture of it anywhere?

POST 10Original post

I think with all the resources and connections on these forums we would have heard for sure if such a radical change like front end look has been made. I don't think i missed it but I have not heard or seen such a change.

POST 11Original post

Audi offers many models with an "Atlas Gray". Any resemblence?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bruce, I agree, which brings us to "Why" would 2 dealers say the same thing. From a sales point of view, if I was a dealer Rep, I would make doubly sure the information is true. One of the other Rep said, he had not heard this, but knowing Porsche and how secret they are, it would not surprise him if they did this. My Rep said only the front end would change, specifically the headlights like the 993 design, the rest of the car would be same as we see it today.

POST 13Original post

I think that changing the front end look of a car without informing their dealers or ordering customers would be a huge risk, even for Porsche. Especially for Porsche. Unfortunately, dealership employees are not always to knowledgeable. Did you talk to an informed manager or a new salesperson?

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bruce, I agree with you, but the information came from the sales rep who I am working with. Being in sales for the past 35 years, I have a lot of confidence in the Rep. I'm going to call around tomorrow and see if otultiDealers agree and let everyone know.

POST 15Original post

Since pictures of the 04 C4S Cab have been seen in Christophorus looking identical to 03's I think your sales guy is smoking crack...there is no change to the lights.

POST 17Original post

Le Chef, Good point. I forgot about the C4S cab pictures.Plus, the guys on Rennteam.com went to the factory last month and saw '04s waiting for delivery and there was no change. Also, the GT3 is an '04 and it has the current lights. Sorry SilverC4S, I think they're joshing you.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I hear you guys, but I had to pose the question, since I am new and coming from an E46 M3. Thanks!

POST 19Original post

I think the answer is no. I think the Audi Atlas Gray is much much lighter (don't know why they're both called Atlas).
