0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: '90k car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is '90k car' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi ppl,
Came across this car on autotrader. It is a 02 C4S (silver/blk) with 20K miles, and the dealer is asking for 80K
Do you guys think I can negotiate the price down to the mid 60K range? Thx.
JACK
probably not-the car was probably a 90k car. i would say 70-72k would be about right. the miles are a bit high, so take off about 4k, so 66-68 seems right.
i found that new ones with that color combo (you can pick a yellow one up much cheaper) are bringing about $4 - $5K off list.
03 low mile cars are probably in the $72 - $78K range.
an 02 w/low miles are probably in the $65 - $72K range.
I'd take a few more K off for the miles.
just my opinion. geography matters in a big way.
i also heard that dealers are starting to discount less b/c porsche is cutting production again in 04??????????
That probably also matters on location. I would not say an 02 porsche with $10k miles is low. Of coarse I live in Chicago, so the cars we come across here are usually 2nd or 3rd cars that are not driven that much. For what its worth, I would say 5000 or less miles is low for an 02, at least where I am from.

I posted this before, but, wholesale on a 2002 C4S with low miles(less than 5000) is between $62,500-$64,500. You should be able to get a much lower mile car for $65,500-$67,500. If your heart is set on the 20k miler, I wouldn't pay more than $60k. I do not know if you get tax credit for your trades from where you are from, but in IL you do. So, if a dealer were even giving this guy $59k for the 20k mile C4S that would equate to a private party sale of $64,162. If this guy will sell for mid $60's, my guess is the dealer is giving him like $57k for that car

if i could get the c4s for 60k, i would take it-i just don't think you can get it for that. i certainly wouldn't argue with anyone who would sell the 90k msrp car 1 and 1/2 yr later for 60k. also, according to excellence magazine, normal useage for a 911 is 6-9 k miles/yr.
