Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

We do know that the ROW 030 suspension lowers the C4S another 10mm and that Porsche advises that the struts also be changed although the sway bars do not need to be swapped.
Leading evidence: 'Replace although the sway bars do not need' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace although the sway bars do not need' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
There is a performance envelope for your stock suspension, changing the springs may put you outside that performance envelope and make the ride and handling worse, in fact in most cases where only one element of the suspension is changed this is true.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

just ordered techart springs. they claim the car gets lowered 35mm. sounds like a lot, but let's assume it is accurate. am i going to have shock problems, alignment problems? has anyone had experience with these springs? other suggestions? thanks in advance, as i am new to this forum, although i owned and raced a bunch of this great marque!
Hi "Guest" and welcome to Rennlist! I have an 02 C4 Cab and was thinnking of doing something similar. I was told that my stock shocks would be too compressed, and that I definitely need wheel alignment. I know the C4S has a different stock setup, but lowering it almonst 1 1/2" seems like a lot since I believe the C4S is already a bit lower than the C4. Personally, I'd wait for the "experts" on this board to chime in.

Is that the Wildwood northeast of KC or the Wildwood SW of St. Louis?
Not that it makes a bit of difference.
35mm lowering TechArt springs will not match the rest of your suspension. Your struts and sway bars are not tuned for springs that are 35mm lower. This will mean two things. First, you will have to get a new alignment and it may be the case that your car can no longer be aligned to Porsche factory specs, in fact at 35mm lowered, I'm almost sure of it. This leads to the second point, your car will not drive as Porsche intended it to. It may be better, it may be worse, I suspect it will be worse.
There is a performance envelope for your stock suspension, changing the springs may put you outside that performance envelope and make the ride and handling worse, in fact in most cases where only one element of the suspension is changed this is true. We do know that the ROW 030 suspension lowers the C4S another 10mm and that Porsche advises that the struts also be changed although the sway bars do not need to be swapped. I have a hard time believing that a suspension dropped 35mm by springs alone is somehow magically better than what Porsche engineers have spent years designing and tweaking.
On the other hand, if you just want your car to ride lower and are more concerned with looks than actual performance, go for it.
if u don't care about the money & want to get the best stuff, get the RUF or Bilstein PSS-9. also, just check
www.carnewal.com,
i believe the X74 is out already, but the price is really high though.
I agree...forget the lowering springs and go with coilovers. I had H&R springs with stock struts on my TT and it was horrible!!! I would just avoid the springs and do it right the first time. I made the mistake and ended up spending a whole lot more in labor and my personal time.
I also suggest the RUF or Bilstein PSS-9s. The RUF's are tuned more for a street setup, but nonetheless ready for canyon carving too!
