It is soooo much easier to change the pads on a P-car then the BMW that it makes you wonder what they were doing in Munich when brakes were being discussed!!!

Has anyone changed their rear pads. Mine are worn, and I find it hard getting time to take it to the dealer in the week. Was wondering how easy or difficult is it to change the pads. My friend changes the pads on his NSX. and has no problems.

yes .. i have replaced them once but watch out the two different shimms gear size on the brake piston

I have changed them a few times with the help of Loren's DIY page. It is very easy once you figure out the first one. The most time consuming part of the whole thing is removing the wheels.

The engineers at Porsche have done a good job on the brakes. It is soooo much easier to change the pads on a P-car then the BMW that it makes you wonder what they were doing in Munich when brakes were being discussed!!! Sicaone is correct. The thing that takes the longest is removing the wheels!!!! I end up changing track pads for street pads (its the squeeking/squeeling) after every event. Follow Loren's directions. You almost can't go wrong!!
