Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm Click the attachment and tell me what you think about it? I had heard the same thing about 10 years ago in a Road and Track article about break in. I'm considering doing this on my GT3 when i get it tomorrow. He also suggests to change the oil after 20 miles, that most if not all of the break in takes place in the first 30 miles. And also running the car thru the rpms guage hard up and hard down in order to seat the seals. When I bought my 99C2 I DID NOT baby it either during break in. What do you guys think? The pictures of the 2 pistons that were broken in differently look interesting. The damaged one was one that was broken in easily. from the article.... Q: What is the most common cause of engine problems ??? A: Failure to: Warm the engine up completely before running it hard !!! Q: What is the second most common cause of engine problems ??? A: An easy break in !!! Because, when the rings don't seal well, the blow-by gasses contaminate the oil with acids and other harmful combustion by-products !! Any comments? Doea anyone have experience with this?
