I believe some people have used a warm cloth with soap on it to get ''sticky stuff'' off it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

some malicious little twit debadged my car. Went for some cigs came back and found the badge on the deck next to my car. Wouldn't ya just love to kick the livin **** out these idiots

POST 2Original post

Probably fans from the Kop - your car's blue so they think you're a Toffee fan and the enemy...

POST 3Original post

Was it hood or rear? To be honest Scouser, as an ex-pat (and yes, an Everton fan), I'm pretty happy about not having to worry about the pointless vandalism or just plain theft that sadly characterizes so much of the UK. Clearly it can happen in more dodgy places in the US, but it seems to be pretty much anywhere in England. I've had rental cars keyed in the middle of rural nowhere - not just in Brixton or Bradford. I've always wondered how folks in the UK with high-end motors cope with threat of this. Hopefully the damage is none to minimal on your motor.

POST 6Original post

thats one of those times when you wished you where walking out just in time to pull out your laser sighted .367 mag semi-auto and "talk" with them punks

POST 7Original post

Berny, I can't seem to email you directly so I may give you the information you wanted through the forum. Don

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey how did you guys know I am an Everton supporter? DaveH, unforunately and saddly I have to agree with you. It is a sad fact of life that we Brits have to put up with a lot of wastless and pointless crimes. I think there are too many no-hopers living here. My car is locked up in a garage with CCTV constantly watching it. It also has a GPS tracker installed. It has a proximity alarm and factory alarm fitted. The battery terminal is switched. All this cos it's a nice car. My wife's Alfa meanwhile sits on the tarmac in the drive. My home is fortified with Fences (some electric), CCTV, alarms and special locks. You have to watch your back here. NiveK, your comment exemplifies the very reason why owning a firearm is dangerous. If I had a gun and I saw those bastards, YES I would have blew there brains out. But would I feel good about it after. It's only a badge. It's the rear Carrera badge. Strangely it didn't break. It's all in one piece. So can you guys suggest a) best method to get the sticky stuff off my paint and b) what I would use to re-stick the badge back on. I think straight double sided tape wouldn't do. May need some sort of special sticky tape. Any suggestions?

POST 9Original post

I believe some people have used a warm cloth with soap on it to get ''sticky stuff'' off it. I guess I am very lucky round here(I live in Reading, about 60 miles south of London), we never have problems such as this. Our town is known as one of the worst crime and drug spots in the UK, but my dad has no problems when he parks his C4 in car parks. Electric fences and CCTV...jeez!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Noon, that's really funny. I mean it's really really funny. No offence but guess where it happened? Reading! Yup, car was parked on Imperial Way near the Compaq office when these goons ripped the badge from it. I am back home in Wirral now. I work in Watford but I had been over to Reading to visit some friends. I pulled out the Compaq carpark and popped into a shop to get some cigs. No doubt about it though, where I live we have to fortify our homes. But you can't tell me they don't do that daan south too.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey noony, maybe it's not the same Reading. I am talking Reading in Berkshire which is no more than 25 miles West of London. Certainly not 60 miles South of it.

POST 12Original post

Lol really! Yeah sorry, not too good on geography. I don't know of anybody who has to take such protections here. That part of Reading is the dodgy bit-Whitley. Other parts of Reading are far nicer, Whitley is a crime hot spot.

POST 13Original post

Scouser your right, guns are dangerous, but i disagree on the part where you say its only a badge, the whole justice system with all its loopholes and croocked lawyers to get criminals out of trouble or keep them from paying for their crimes like they should is why people do stuff like this all the time, to get peoples attention things have to be riskier, deadlier, in other words if word gets out to crooks that they will have actual consequences for their actions, then it would taper off to a dull roar

POST 14Original post

[QUOTE] Originally posted by Scouser [B]Hey how did you guys know I am an Everton supporter? It was a guess. Blue car. I'm a Brit living in Chicago and an adopted Toffee faan as one of my colleagues is a Scouser as well. A whole gang of us get together on Sunday mornings in the pub to watch Wayne Rooney perform his magic and eat big breakfasts of course!

POST 15Original post

Scouser - For what it's worth, I'm sure the culprit was a Manchester United supporter. I'd be taking that puppy in to a dealer for the fix - I'd be a bit nervous about adhering it myself, but then again I'm crap at that stuff.

POST 16Original post

Isn't there another name for Bradford? SOmething derrogitory?

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What has Bradford got to do with it. And there is no way it was a Manchester U supporter. They rarely travel 5 files outside there territory. Pat, definitely cigs Guns! I think I will opt out of that thread.

POST 19Original post

Well, they say most man u supporters live in the south east My father and I are 2 of them. Went to see the second leg of the champions league quarter final against real madrid, great game.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Le Chefe, DaveH, help me out here. Us 3 Everton supt's vs a so called Man U suptr. Noony, You say your in Reading which you say is 60 miles South of London. I say it's 20 miles West of London. Now you say your a Man U suptr living in the South East (which is verging on impossible, it isn't heard of!) Eaxactly where are you? Le Chef, DaveH, Are you guys both from Liverpool?

POST 21Original post

Sorry, I am in the Reading in Berkshire, I know exactly where the place your car got broken into is. I'm young and don't know my way around the country too well!

POST 22Original post

"Real Madrid" starts with capital letters if you will Noony please as in "Galactic Team", as in the "FIFA's Best Team of the XX Century", as in "Dream Team" as in "9 times Champions League Winner", as in Beckham , Ronaldo, Raul, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Figo etc ... so actually "All-mighty ruler of the universe Real Madrid" would be more accurate when reffering to my team just joking

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Carolos, no doubt about it, Real Madrid is an inredible line up. I am looking forward to seeing them do their thing next year. Zidane is "The Almighty" Noony, since you are a youngen, I will let you off. But not comletely cos your a Man U supporter . BTW my car didn't get broken into. The badge got ripped off.
