Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to get some replacement bulbs with a 'whiter' light. Are they reliable? Are the replacement bulbs any good? Where is the best place to get them? I found these on EBay: EBay Link Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

HID bulbs are NOT H7's. H7 is an incandescent bulb. my guess is that these are replacements for your incandescent HB bulbs. A scam, purely!

POST 3Original post

That is correct. The H7 is the standard Halogen light bulb in the standard headlight. An HID bulb goes into the Litronic or Xenon headlight.

POST 4Original post

i believe Xenon bulbs are D2R, at least for my Mini. check www.hid4less.com i think u mean "bluer". u can't get any whiter than stock bulbs.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well...I'm a little confused by all this. I don't want to do the upgrade with the ballasts and Xenon. Thats a little pricier than I want to spend right now. I just want to get better, brighter, whiter (or blue) bulbs. I got some replacement bulbs for my motorcycle that worked great. They were definitely a whiter light and easier on the eyes. So...If I just want to get replacement bulbs, where's the best place to get them...and what number are they so I know what to order. I know they won't be nearly as good as the Xenon's or the Litronics though. Thanks guys.

POST 6Original post

The Sylvania Silver Star bulbs are a little bit whiter but I do not know if they make them in H7 style. You might also want to try PIAA.
