I wonder if the leather conditioner I used has something to do with it (Meguiars wipes).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the full-leather option and the shroud over the instrument pod is wrinkling--badly. It was perfect 3-mos ago when I bought the car, but since i've owned it, gets daily exposure to direct sunlight and elevated temps. Is this covered under the factory warranty? What are the remedies? TIA

POST 2Original post

Wow. I've had mine for over a year, out in the sun when I use it to work 3 seasons of the year. No wrinkling of the dashboard leather. Unless something unusual happened to it, I would say that the wrinkling is a manufacturing defect and should be covered by warrantee

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wonder if the leather conditioner I used has something to do with it (Meguiars wipes).

POST 4Original post

don't tell the dealer u used Meguiar and u should be fine with the warranty. however, taking the entire dashboard out is not a good idea. u might have more headache later on. i'd avoid those cheap wipes!
