I once used http://www.autotops.com/index.html Go to that website and they have very good pricing on cab top replacements for Porsche's about 1/3 of the dealer retail prices.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Got an estimate from my local Porsche Distributor. Came in to around $5000, all in.
Reason? They don't repair, only replace, and they replace the whole thing. Not just bits and pieces. In the end, I decided not to do it.
Porsche parts, Porsche prices....
After my accident, the rollbar deformed the rear plastic window. Local Porsche dealer said that the rear plastic window can be replaced for $1300 including labor. I had my repair shop iron the deformed plastic and it looks great. I also got an estimate for $4600 to replace the whole cabriolet top and rear window.
Per my 2002 price list full retail for the top is $2,040 and the window is $500. I watched a little while both were being replaced. The plastic window is held in with a zipper and a glue bond. The hook up this electrical thing to heat up the glue and remove the window. Too bad a Boxster is not this way.

MSRP on the plastic window is $733, not sure on top yet. Hope I only need window.
Saw the device - very intricate but awkward thing that hooks to rear window opening, then straps to two rods that are bolted through the rear wheels for leverage. 20 minutes and it's done (the glue/weld that is).
Thanks!

I do know the dealerhships by me do not do the work and sub out. So if you can get directly to one of the subs, it should save on the mark ups.
Too bad you did not notice it in June. I copied these pictures from an ebay auction last month.
