Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm debating whether to get PSS10 coilovers and H&R sway bars installed for the event.

The wallet is a little bruised at the moment so maybe I'll just wait for some good used stuff to come up.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Bought it in Bellingham at Roger Jobs. 73K miles, new motor installed in 2005 at about 40K miles. Litronics, heated seats, not much else in the way of options.
The suspension is stock (for now). The new(ish) motor feels great and the car feels light on it's feet which is good because I'm firmly in the "add lightness to go fast" camp. The clutch feels good, the tires are 8/32 Bridgestone Potenzas. The whole thing feels right
There's an autocross at the end of the month which I will be attending. I'm debating whether to get PSS10 coilovers and H&R sway bars installed for the event. The wallet is a little bruised at the moment so maybe I'll just wait for some good used stuff to come up. I got a great deal on it ($26.5K) but I imported the car and the CDN dollar is a little weak against the Yankee buck at the moment so I'm paying a few thou more than I'd hoped. Still a smoking deal though.
No good pics yet, my camera is out of town (long story). Here's a shot from the dealer website to keep the photo ***** calm.
The rest of the day went easy-peasy. There was a 40 minute delay at the border due to other people but zero hassles for me. Thanks again for the ride.
I drove it to North Van because I couldn't bear to park it. I think it feels better (lighter and more responsive) than the first 996 I had. I do miss the leather dash and the BOSE stereo though. It's weird that this car has Litronics but no premium sound. I thought those came as a package.
Talk at you later Geoff.
Looks great, congrats Jasper.
Why not run the first auto-x stock to gather some numbers, and then you can upgrade later and compare results?
Does that make not modding now sound like more fun?
Enjoy your new P-car!
HOLY SHIAT!!! you stole it !!
Nice looking car, great deal, new motor!! I will be at the autocross (other end of the track) so swing over and say HI before heading out... I should be close to my car
Welcome back - great looking ride... less options = lighter
Regarding your questions on litronics & options - litronics were not an option in 2002 only - they were standard on all 2002 996's as far as I know.
Mine is an 02 and I don't have the upgraded stereo either - only the litronic lights. In fact aside from all leather seats I don't have many options at all. But as mentioned before, less options means less weight and more focus on the driving experience!
