Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Check on progress' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check on progress' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

PCNA rep. told my salesman about a month ago we were looking at Sept. 1st because Porsche wanted to have about 20 to 30 cars hitting the streets at the same time. He said nothing about the emissions thing which I think is a crock. Very poor communication from Porsche on the matter none the less.
My car is currently listed as in transit.
So far from all 4 dealers I have called all have said "they read the same sheet we read on the internet, and thats all they know".(this is including a manager at Champion Porsche). Its not looking like anything has been solved.

Just to let you know, my gt3 was built on june 12, with VIN # assigned. I went to dealer today to check on progress.... The car is currently on vessel, the Sirous, due in baltimore June8-10..... I'm sure if mine is on board there are others.... If there is any truth to the 30 car rumor before release from port, we sould be getting close at this point to release from port......
Greetings, We are all guessing at this point however why would it take so long for Porsche to produce 20 to 30 cars for the U.S. market? I had heard a number of 12 GT3 cars produced daily. Production over a couple of weeks or all production from a few days would take care of the allocation for the States unless of course production is less.
My car is a July build (any time now I guess) with delivery I would think early September anyway. I have learned to be patient when I buy a Porsche mostly because they have been vintage Porsches which there is usually some searching involved, but being a new car I can understand one becoming frustrated waiting. I do not anticipate my car sitting at the port long if September really is the release date. What does Porsche do to house and protect the cars that are now sitting?
Either way Porsche or PCNA has handled the sales of the GT3 poorly. I have had a car reserved since December and I just received the Brochure last week. No brochure at the auto shows even though the GT3 was the main display. Now buyers are really kept in the dark about the delivery of a six figure car. I wonder if Porsche is aware of how PCNA has handled this so far or do they not care either?
Best,
Don
The GT3's sitting in Baltimore did have a problem with emmissions, and something was modified on the car.
My mechanic stated that motors are probably making close to 400HP so even with a mod they are still providing a car to the end user with at least 380hp, the amount printed on the order guide.
I think one of the problems with the car and the long wait is or was the fact that the GT3 was originally supposed to be a 2003 model and I think the reason why the car became a 2004 model was b/c they had some production issues, ie parts suppliers did not provide enough parts to complete the run or cars in time.
As an example my car was to be built on April 20 it was pushed back to May 28. When I put the order in for my car, the GT3 scirpt on the centre console was not available, and I had also heard on other boards that some people could not get the fatter steering wheel - it seemed as those parts of the vehicle were on back order as were probably other compnents of the vehicles.
Think about it though what manufacturer would release a 2004 model in April, May or June. It's not going to happen. Usually next year models come out starting in September.
Hmmm, I don't think the model year theory is it. The Audi A8 L which has been available for a while is a 2004 model. I'm sure there are others as well but I don't know them off the top of my head. New models coming out in September used to be the way it happened but now manufacturers will release a new model anytime after January it seems.

I am ordering a 2004 GT3 and it will arrive in Febuary 04. I was second on the 'list'.
I have been following the saga. It is my understanding the Porsche AG will not release the GT3's in the US until all other Porsche MY04 cars are availible. Meaning that we are looking at Sept?
The P-Car dealer in San Diego (Pioneer Centres)told me today that they will get there first one in next week. By the way the have a new GT2 sitting on the show room floor if someone is interested. My understanding is that they got an extra one.
It is fairly common for manufacturers to release new products at different times other than in the fall. As was stated, they can lebel a vehicle a particular model year anytime after Jan 1 of that year.
This is just standard operating procedure for PCNA. This is the exact same thing that happened when the first my 996TT was released.
One day PCNA will make a big show of the North American release and the next day your cars will be on the trucks.
I don't believe the dealer who says they are getting one next week. I believe they will have to wait just like everyone else.
Watt,
Yes they are Weimeraner's. German dogs to guard my German car. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> I'm sure your dogs love the beach and play in the water. I often take my dogs over to Santa Cruz and they love the beach, but the funny thing is, they hate water. What's up with that?
