Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

You put the milled down end into the bolt holes (I use two per rim) and slide the wheel on, clearing monster calipers or other hazards, just as if you had studs!.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

 • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T133652Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone here done a wheel bolt to wheel stud conversion? If yes, please tell me all about it. Putting the wheels back on with bolts is such a pain in the axx... All I could find on-line so far was: http://www.kyankton.net/Wheels.htm Thanks JM

POST 2Original post

You need a pair of these: Never mind the threaded end, that is just for grip. You put the milled down end into the bolt holes (I use two per rim) and slide the wheel on, clearing monster calipers or other hazards, just as if you had studs!. You then start a bolt or two, pull these babys out, and put in the rest of the bolts.
quote:
Originally posted by Jean-Marc: Has anyone here done a wheel bolt to wheel stud conversion? A friend turned some ordinary 9/16 bolts down on a lathe. Jean-Marc, check your PM.
