Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice car, lack of power as expected, but plentiful and still fun to drive. Could be a good option for someone who doesn't want to deal with the hassles of a 12 year old car. Gotta admit I did like the smoother ride on the crappy LA roads, but I didn't really get to take it on any nice curvy roads yet. I'm about the same dollar-wise into my 2002 Targa...

POST 2Original post

I test drove one while waiting for the PPI to come back on my 2002 Targa. It did not inspire me at all other than it is a spanking brand new car, and I am a Subaru fan. I liked driving new Miata better than BRZ.

POST 3Original post

I also looked at a new BRZ vs. getting my 2002 Targa. Nice ride but really a bit unpowered but not by much. If my 911 started to empty my bank account I'd likely replace it with a Honda S2000 which having owned one for over a decade I know would be extremely economical.

POST 4Original post

I was wondering about the BRZ as well, but haven't yet driven one. Your pic shows me that there is in fact another car with uglier headlights than our 996s.

POST 5Original post

I drove an FR-S and could not believe how slow it was for the claimed HP output, not to mention how little grip those skinny tires had. I was prepared to be excited about those two cars, but no thanks. Only thing they have going for them is that they are new.
